saving flash tease

Just wanted to say, that although I was first planning to add support to the Milovana to CM Convertor for flash teases, I won't add this feature.

Initially, I thought it could also decrease the site traffic. Imagine that users like a tease that much that they do it every day. Sometimes it would be cached, other times it would need to be reloaded. In that case, Milovana would have benefited.

But there is indeed a big risk that it would be used as a grabbing tool. Hence it will not be supported, or maybe only for that sponsor option that was mentioned, and if I find some time to invest in this project.

I think it just depends how much easier the tool would make conversions, it's not meant to grab everything

I know about the Rapidshare premium point system. We don't do this here for cash you know and I doubt that this would be an effective way to supply our costs for the server etc.

To offer every single Flash Webtease as a Rapidshare download would be a lot of work and this work time we couldn't do other important things for the site. Thank you for the suggestion Johnny, but I don't think that we will realize this.

Maybe we could offer a packet one day and upload it on Bittorrent. But it is also up to the webtease authors, because it is their work.

I think, ultimately, this site just works better when people come here to play. It gets everybody posting in the forum, reading, maybe making the occasional tease. It really adds to the community atmosphere, and I'd personally hate to see anything detract from that. :)

Well put. I think this is also the reason why there are already more FlashTeases than PCM2 scripts out there, despite the fact that PCM2 offers more features and has been around a lot longer.

I still want to do a download package, but it'll probably cost a small fee. Not so much because we can't find a free host, but rather because it would be a good way to raise some money to cover our regular server costs.
