[DEMO/FEEDBACK] Open EOS Player (Expanding EOS via 3rd party player)

All about the past, current and future webteases and the art of webteasing in general.

Is using a 3rd party EOS player a good idea?

Yes! I would play teases that require it!

Thanks!
Throwawimaway wrote: Thu Jan 07, 2021 10:53 pmI'd be afraid that people would spend so much time putting together the visual aspect of these teases that the story would be extremely lacking (When erotica meets Michael Bay).
I think you'll see that regardless. Though I'd hope for authors with more coding experience, OpenEOS would actually free up time for them, since they can just code what they want, not try to beat EOS into submission to get the results they're after.
Throwawimaway wrote: Thu Jan 07, 2021 10:53 pmUltimately, I hope for all of us that this succeeds.
So do I! However, it is open source, so anyone can take the ball and run with it, should I fail.
Throwawimaway wrote: Thu Jan 07, 2021 10:53 pm Any progress reports? If happily beta test for you!
There's a few lingering bugs I'm working on, and I'm re-writing the audio actions to fix some issues with it. Other than that, I'm waiting on any word from seraph0x to see if there's any interest in rolling OpenEOS into Milovana (long shot), and feedback from other authors to decide what to do next.

For beta testing, just run existing teases on it and report the bugs here!

Thank you!
tudeloo wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 11:45 am If you want the estim community on board and beyond:
play sound files on specific channels (can be limited to ch1/2 front and ch3/4 back). Allows to play voices/stories like from soundgasm while at the same time stereo outputting a stim signal.
The immersion is far deeper with (for me female) voices, stim signal, answering options, pics, gifs etc. ;-)
I'm currently re-writing the audio portion of OpenEOS, so I'll keep this in mind.

Is there a standard configuration people with estim use for this? I'm wondering how complicated the configuration is going to be for any given tease.

Off the top of my head I would think that we dont need a special audio file format that supports surround sound, but that stereo will suffice (so mp3 etc.). So it will be the easiest (and would also support all excisting files!) to take mp3 as the standard.

Coming from mp3 I would love a feature/function allowing to play that audio file either ch1/2 or ch3/4. That would be awesome! :w00t: To support all teases using audio already, just play that function as ch1,2 default.

Setups can go from just Mono, to stereo and triphase. But the example above should suffice for a first implementation. Most setups will be achievable with it.
