Re: Ratings Based on Rhythmic Accuracy
I completely disagree with the ratings. About the only thing his little ratings chart is good for is pointing out which CH's have or don't have a beatmeter.
But after reading all the posts so far, all I have to say is... "x802snow, you had me at Fail 2."

Re: Ratings Based on Rhythmic Accuracy
Well I got a score of 1 on my creation so I'd like to join all the fellow CH authors in this thread and say, don't watch it if you don't like it. I'm not gonna be as straightforward as x802snow was, but he is 100% right in everything he said.
Also, this is the least constructive criticism of all. I got a 1/10, that doesn't tell me anything about what I should improve or how I should do it.

I think that people anal like you should find a shrink and pay for an hour of ranting instead of posting shit like this. I mean, you have'nt done anything for the community, your first post is completely offensive and does not give any constructive criticism. First do some videos yourself and post them here so you all see how good you are. Then if you are good enough you can post something about others, but respectfully.
If you tell me this is your job and you are a perfectionist, well i might understand it, but you are just some anal guy that insulted the work of people that are doing it for the good of the community. if you don't like it, do it yourself, provide some constructive criticism or shut the fuck up.
You could have started by saying thank you to all the people that did it right and made you cum so rhythmically but I guess that it is too much to ask.

Re: Ratings Based on Rhythmic Accuracy
I think what the OP is saying is that he rated the vids based on how the selected beats (the ones that appear on the beat meter) match with the beat/melody of the song used. CH Red Extacy is a perfect example for this.
Don't see where this is disrespectful to authors...

In my opinion, calling others work (from which you profit for free) garbage is disrespectful. Maybe Mr Good-Musician can explain himself but I doubt we'll ever read (or even see) anything from him
CUM EXPRESS - NEXT - NDURO - ZART/HART
Re: Ratings Based on Rhythmic Accuracy
From my understanding, the rating is based only on the synchronization with the song melody/rhythm, meaning that a video rated 1 has beats poorly synced to the original song's melody/rhythm. (i.e. garbage sync from a purely audiophile point of view).Mr123 wrote:In my opinion, calling others work (from which you profit for free) garbage is disrespectful. In no way it means that the creation is garbage (I think that's what he meant). Could have really nice selection of girls, great video editing, etc but have beats not being synced to song rhythm (although this can be a perfectly valid choice!).
In the end, I see the OP as someone who gives a great importance to music over content and if music sync was done "wrong" in his opinion then it's not worth watching.
Just to make it clear, I do not share his opinion (beats don't have to match the song for me to watch), though having the beats synced to music is an enjoyable addition.

Re: Ratings Based on Rhythmic Accuracy
I've never made a CH vid, but I love expressing my opinion on the internet!
I would agree that when the beat track is out of synch with the rhythm of the music that it gets really distracting, and I've stopped maybe 3 or 4 out of playing nearly every CH vid that's ever had a torrent due to it feeling too awkward for me. I'd say maybe 20-25% of CH vids have at least some beat drift that's noticeable to me. I also don't think those are the ones that were rated low. I've played through a lot of the 2s and 3s many many times without noticing any timing slips.
So, maybe he really meant choosing a beat pattern that doesn't actually exist in the music? I guess I find those a little more boring or less engaging, but not bad by any stretch.
Yeah, neither of those make sense based on that list. I guess I have no clue what he was getting at.
Anyway, thanks to all the authors! Especially the ones who make sure their beats match, because regardless of this list, it can be distracting and detrimental if the beat track does slip out of time from the music.
