I would agree with Andyp picking the content it hard. I tried my best to not recycle any material bust still did a little. I didn't even realize it until I was playing Hardcore 3 and saw a Veronica Rodriguez clip that I used.

You'd actually be surprised there's not that much high quality content out there that works. Especially for the types of girls I'm into. I will continue to do my best to only use fresh scenes, but sometimes I'm sure I'll screw up again.

I don't really know how hard it is to do the editing part, as far as cutting pieces out of other vids and piecing them together, but I can't see how there is a shortage of high quality content. Is it a format issue or something?

Beggars can't be choosers. Personally I wish that every video could have new content. But that wish exists in the fantasy land that is my head.

Note for video authors: thanks! and also, novelty will always compose some aspect of sexuality. Thankfully, the content on the screen is not the only way to add novelty.

One year I'll make a CH video, I have a large clip collection, I did make some beats and pick some songs, now I find myself idly thinking of clips to use. I probably get my stuff from the same places most other people do, and I think there is a certain commonality in taste among people into the genera, so a lot of the 'oh shit awesome' clips you want to put in the video have been used already.

I haven't views the entire CH library, but as I go through them I keep catching scenes that I was going to use, and kinda go aww shit, but then I realize I'm probably just going to make one for myself and will end up recycling for sure.

It's just that there are only certain sites doing high quality 'nice' porn, lots of X-art etc, so there isn't much to pick from.

However I totally get that some of the best part of the series is when a new round starts, you are already on edge, and you get to discover a new favorite that way, pretty hard to top that experience and want more of it. Part of the fun I think is the 'surprise! see if you can last through THIS!', which is somewhat blunted if you've seen the scene over and over in another video already.

What makes it great is how it gets cut and matched to music, beats, and words. The final round of Hardcore 4 is the perfect example. I won't spoil it, but it's true greatness at work. If you get on a decent porn torrent site, then I doubt you'd have much trouble finding material. I mean there are probably tens of thousands of HD movies available on one of the sites I use.

There are tens of thousands of HD porn correct. The problem is that I consider about 95% of it to be shit.

If you've watched my video than you know that I have a very particular taste in women. That limits my selection even further.

That being said I do intend to try and not re-use any material, but if someone else has used the same video, or uses it in the future I won't be heart broken. The one exception being that I had a really nice Sailor Moon/Cosplay round in mind for my next release that got a buggered up with the release of the sailor moon strokefest vid.

I am a bit heartbroken about the loss of that round.

I'd also say to anyone who doesn't like the videos being produced, make your own. It's not that hard at all. It does take a lot of time though.

Figure I would make a post in this thread and try to actually be somewhat active on the forums. Normally I spend every time I have working on Flux Dance 2.

This topic is very interresting. It's been on my mind a long time, not just "recycling" clips but music aswell. As a player, I get extremely bored when I see a clip I've seen before in a CH. The same goes for the music. This is very unfair to the creators (myself included), because it limits us very much in the creating process, especially if you had it all planned out and discover someone else using your clip/music.

When I make episodes I spend the majority of times finding rare clips to my movies that hopefully will be released in time so that no one have time to use them. I also try to find music that haven't been used before, or at least different remixes.

Conclusion; I used to scan every new CH-vid coming out after clips "I can't use" before continuing my own project. Nowadays I just don't, since I want to continue with my project as I had planned. If it turns out I accidentally recycled a scene; too bad, but at least I stuck to my original plan. I've found my nische with "quick cuts" and I use ALOT of everything. That way I hope the players will still be on edge, eventhough a recycled scene appears.

Wow, when I finally write on the forums it always becomes a small novel ;)

I've definitely seen your video, in fact, I come back to this site largely just to see if you released a sequel because it was so amazing. I didn't notice anything that particular about your taste of women in the video myself though it much match my taste pretty well since I thought it was awesome.

I've generally found that it's not about the scenes, but how you mix them together. I have a feeling I wouldn't enjoy many of the scenes in your video if I were to watch them straight out, but the way you clipped them together to go hard / soft / hard /soft over and over in the same song was different than what everyone else does. It seems most of the other authors have a straight progression from lesser to more hard core both throughout the video and in each round and I liked that you had a steady stream of different styles of rounds but had multiple challenge points in each round as well.

I've been tempted a few times to try and make my own video, but doing the music/beatmeter always scares me off as well as the fact that I simply don't have that much time since I work crazy hours and figure I'll just patiently (and appreciatively) wait for others to do the work for me.
