@lolol2: Indeed, it isn't really ever meant to be a fast eStim experience, but rather an RPG. With that said, have you tried setting the eStim difficulty to high with the combat difficulty on low? Perhaps what I need are five levels of each instead of three to allow people to dial in their desired experience better. Or to fit your specific need, perhaps a special health charm for those that want to be able to take a lot more punishment without being killed. I think that is an interesting idea. What class did you play? Generally, the warrior takes more damage as they focus on melee and health. If you want to take more damage and survive, invest your level up points in constitution and avoid putting them into dexterity. Additionally, keep in mind that there are many other ways to experience punishment like angering the women of Milovana. Most women have multiple punishments depending on the circumstances. Try thieving from Lia or Dominique for example or gifting lace panties to Mya. You can also set off traps and the like. Other special punishments can be found, like being caught trespassing in the palace (although you may be killed) or sleeping in the Queen's bed. Also, perhaps check out the new game options for game hints and navigational aid, which are meant to help reduce the learning curve just a bit for those new to text RPGs. One final note would be that as you advance to higher levels and encounter higher level enemies, the punishment tends to ramp up.
@Dolgian: That is not an error. Here is an example for clarification. For this example let us assume the three pleasure volumes of 20, 22 and 24 (low, med and high) and punishment volumes of 30, 32, 34. Traveling around in most zones would provide level 22 pleasure which would then boost to 24 when you encounter a Psyon. You can play on high intensity mode where instead of 24, it would average 24 and 30 (high pleasure and low punishment) yielding 27 instead of 24. Similarly, low intensity would average med and high pleasure (22 and 24) providing a volume of 23 for the encounter. In fine-tune you can bring low punishment very close to, but not below high pleasure because doing so would mean taking damage in battle would actually lower intensity instead of increasing it. I worry that this would confuse people and run contrary to the narrative of how the game world works. However, I could probably have some sort of override option if this is truly a desired mechanic. I hope that helps to clarify a bit.
@Bonkgr: I'm glad you are having fun and hope you find it even better with the last update. One of these updates will certainly focus on bringing in more punishment and pleasure signals. It isn't overly hard, but it is time consuming so I'll likely be focused on other content for a while. The future brothel will feature two elaborate pleasure girls and an elaborate pain girl. You'll be able to blow all of your gold there lol. I also plan on having some sort of gambling game in the tavern by the way.
Thank you all for the feedback. Have a Happy Valentine's Day!
I received the following message “error advancing quest. The quest dire threat is not active.” Right after she asks what information did you get from the book before it was destroyed. Once you choose either of the three options is when it comes up in text. I was playing as a Warrior, just after returning to Queen Jenya after completing the pop your Cherry quest at the beginning. Also, once this dialogue is finished, you can choose to talk to her again about it and continue to go through the same dialogue (causing you to gain experience points over and over if you so choose).

I pushed a 0.6.1 fix for this. The dialog prompt was appearing before the book in the tunnels was found. I also fixed a small dialog error while in there.
Pushed another small fix for a bug causing the fire mage not to spawn properly in the well tunnels. She is supposed to be a rare spawn, but it was not set correctly. This should not impact saved data files.
Pushed another small fix that could cause a player to be unable to travel up when in the crypt vault if the chest was trapped. I also increased the probability of lock picks spawning in Lia's shop based on feedback. Save data should not be impacted.
No new bugs have been reported over the last two days. Based on my own nine hour playthrough, I'm boosting global loot drop rates just a bit. This change is now live. Let me know how you think it feels. I want combat to be rewarding, but I don't want the player to be fully decked out with the best gear in a couple of hours either. This will likely be the last update to V0.6.1 unless a major game-breaking bug is found. I'll be starting work on 0.7 within a few days, so any minor fixes will just push with the next big update. I've been putting off work on the cathedral, as it is a complicated zone, but I plan to focus on that again now. I also hope to flesh out the existing vendors a bit. I also hope to get to the library and the tavern for the next update as well, as these will be quest hubs for the next major zone which will be a forest to the north of town. I'm going to postpone work on expanding the palace private quarters because this isn't as important for now.
I've been able to make great progress over the past week on V0.7 of LOTP. I was able to put in dozens of hours of development time, with a focus on completing the cathedral zone. The update is probably still a few weeks away, but I am nearly done with all of the rooms. It is a 21 room location (about 1/3 hallways though) with a lot to do and find and quests. It should have a very different feel from the procedurally generated graveyard and well tunnels. There is also a lot of lore to discover in some journals. I hope the hardcore RPG fans enjoy learning more about the crazy femdom world of Milovana. There is going to be the first three star elite full boss here as well, and I have something very special planned for her prefight dialog scene. I'll be working on that next, after I complete the last few rooms of the cathedral.
Quite a bit of progress to report for Legend of the Psyons for the V0.7 release that should be out by the end of March. By popular request, I expanded the naughty picture libraries of all Psyons. The minimum number of pics per enemy has been increased from 5 to 8, with many larger than that. The cathedral zone is complete. The new zone features three new Psyons including the first full 3 star boss. In an effort to make boss battles stand out, she features an extensive prefight sequence in which she gives you a 15 to 20 minute trial by pleasure featuring over 20 images. Like most dialog in the game, your choices are consequential. They can influence both the tease intensity as well as her stats in combat. For example, taunting her too much could raise her willpower for the battle. The tease sequence features three new pleasure sound files and her battle sequence also uses an additional new pleasure and pain file. Her combat picture library features over 40 themed femdom fetish pics. The main quest for collecting the fire essence can now be completed and Raven will send you on the next main quest (which can not yet be completed). The quest for the potion boon can also be completed and I added a new quest from Miley to do in the cathedral when you reach level 5ish. Several spells, weapons and equipment have also been added. I haven't received much feedback on the loot drop rates, which were all reset with the previous update. If you have any thoughts on that, please share. I'm toying with the idea of a public alpha release some time during the summer and would like those ironed out.
V0.7 should be out in about two weeks. I just finished two additional special sequences (pee fetish) with Scarlet (potion shop) in which the normal rage potion and major rage potion can be unlocked. Rage potions recharge your special attack. The special dialogs generally trigger at levels 4 and 8 respectively if she likes you enough and you agreed to the initial minor rage research. These are both much longer and more elaborate than the first minor rage scene. They both involve special eStim at the request of one of my testers.
I've been working on a side-project this week. I invented a dice game from scratch called Angels and Demons (AnD). It is an interesting blend of luck and strategy. I've been thinking about having some mini games within the game for a while now. There will be a female antagonist in the tavern that you can bet gold against. I wrote a standalone version of the game in Python for the purposes of rapid prototyping of various rule sets, as well as the AI for the opponent plays. I find it a lot of fun to play and I likely have the rules settled. I'm still tweaking the AI just a bit, but it is already playing a very good game. I also have various parameters dialed in that make her play more or less like a human and not too robotic or predictable. Once I finish my testing, I'll have to translate it into Javascript for the game engine. I'm not sure I'll have time to get this game into the 0.7 release, but it will make it into 0.8 at the very least.
The tavern will feature several rooms and several women (some static and some transitory) and will serve as the main quest hub for the zones north of the city for levels 7-15. The first zone planned is a forest for level 7-8.
Nocnoc, I was in the cathedral in the main room (Cathedral North 1, I believe it is). When I went to leave (south), the text would say “South” but I’d never leave the room. If I went into the menu and go back, it would “reset” the room options, but I was still never able to leave. However, it did seem like it changed the stim file or made it stronger when I tried to exit to the south. I tried waiting awhile as well, but nothing ever happened. I had to restart the game. Level 5 warrior. Thanks! Keep up the great work!
@ILuvPlanes208 Had you done anything with the treasure chest? I found a bug related to getting stuck in the room if the chest was trapped (sometimes it is and sometimes it isn't), but I thought I fixed that with the last 6.1 update. I'm guessing it may not have been fixed properly, so I'll have to take a look.
So I looked into it and for some reason the fix for a trap on a chest causing the game to "freeze" on travel was never pushed properly on the 0.6.1 release. It was fixed for the crypts, but not that cathedral room. I just updated 0.6.1 so that it should not happen again, but it will only fix it if you've never been to that location. It will be properly fixed in the 0.7 release in another week or two. I'm working on the dice game AI now for the tavern.I'd also really like to get the librarian in there so that the knowledge quests can be turned in. Not sure I'll have time.
I'll be pushing out the latest update (V0.7.0) tonight. This is once again a big update that will require a lot of testing. If you want to help with testing, please message me. The alpha tester link will update automatically. This update will break previous save data.
--- New Content ---
* By popular request, I expanded the naughty picture libraries of all Psyons. The minimum number of pics per enemy has been increased from 5 to 8, with many larger than that. Higher tier Psyons feature larger picture libraries. Some existing libraries were expanded, while others were replaced with new models.
* The cathedral zone is complete! (Previously it was just two starter rooms.) It is a 21 room location (about 1/3 hallways though) with a lot to do and find. It should have a very different feel from the procedurally generated graveyard and well tunnels. There is also a lot of lore to discover in some journals. I hope the hardcore RPG fans enjoy learning more about the crazy femdom world of Milovana.
* The cathedral features the first full 3 star boss. Beware the Death Queen! In an effort to make boss battles stand out, she features an extensive prefight sequence in which she gives you a 15 to 20 minute trial by pleasure featuring over 20 images. Like most dialog in the game, your choices are consequential. They can influence both the tease intensity, as well as her stats in combat. For example, taunting her too much could raise her willpower for the battle. The tease sequence features three new pleasure sound files and her battle sequence also uses an additional new pleasure and pain file. Her combat picture library features over 40 themed femdom fetish pics.
* Added two new Psyon enemies, the wraith and the lesser fire elemental (elite) located in the cathedral. Like all of the enemies, they feature unique skills, attacks, dialog, pictures, loot and so forth. The elite elementals do not appear until you advance the main quest to a certain point. The fire elementals also make use of a new game mechanic that can trigger when you defeat certain enemies.
* The main quest for collecting the fire essence can now be completed and Raven will send you on the next main quest (which can not yet be completed, as it will be in the forest). The potion boon quest that you can get in the potion shop can now be completed in the cathedral as well.
* Added a new quest that you can get from Miley to do in the cathedral when you reach level 5ish.
* Added two additional special sequences (pee fetish) with Scarlet (potion shop) in which the normal rage potion and major rage potion can be unlocked. Rage potions recharge your special attack. The special dialogs generally trigger at levels 4 and 8 respectively if she likes you enough and you agreed to the initial minor rage research. These are both much longer and more elaborate than the first minor rage scene. They both involve special eStim at the request of an alpha tester.
* Added the tavern location. There are some things to do here, including buying food and drink, but it is not yet finished. Nicollet is the owner of the Rabid Buffalo. A special punishment awaits you if you make her angry.
* The first minigame (of perhaps three) has been added! In a side room of the tavern you will find Bea the elf. You can play a dice game called Angels and Demons (A n' D) for a wager of gold. It is a fun game that involves a mix of luck and strategy. It takes about 15 minutes to play. She will explain the rules if you ask her. I designed her AI to play a very good game, but not be overly robotic. The game features pictures of some sexy angels and demons. Bea can provide "motivation", both pleasure and pain, under some circumstances. She also features a very unique punishment sequence if you get caught trying to steal from her.
* Added several new weapons (including the first spear, which is a rare melee weapon with a range of 2 instead of 1), spells, rings and necklaces.
* Added several new consumables (for the tavern). The red wine is not available until you level up a bit.
* Added a new type of potion called "blessing" in minor, normal and major variants. These decrement damage over time effects of type curse. This works much like antidote potions for poison DOTs. The enemy AI can also make logical use of these new potions.
* Added combat banter for some of the fetishes in the new picture libraries.
* Added a picture for the cat attack in Ariel's punishment sequence.
--- Game Engine Upgrades, New and Altered Game Mechanics ---
* Improved the code that handles light sources in dark areas. You are now better informed when you are using up a light source. You also may have noticed that entering a dark room with no light source would sometimes briefly flash an image of the room. It will no longer do so.
* Improved the eStim sound handling code. As more sound files are being added, it was important to add better error checking for invalid file names and the like. Previously, a zone's pleasure sound file would reset to the beginning whenever you traveled. Some of these are nearly ten minutes long, so frequent travel could cause you to rarely experience the entire file. It will no longer reset when you travel from one location to another in the same zone.
* The game now uses the Milovana account storage to detect if you have played the current version of the game before. If you have, it lets you skip the warning messages on startup.
* You can now store default volumes via the Milovana account storage to save calibration time if you use a consistent setup. It still allows you to fine-tune the values without altering the stored defaults if you wish.
* Changed the wording from "consumable effects" to "temporary effect", as now several things besides consumables (like curses and blessings) can instill said effects.
* Plague lich resistance switched to disease.
* The minor and standard variant of DOT curatives, such as antidote, now reduce the rounds of damage by 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3. The previous values were not worth the action points.
--- Cheat Console Upgrades ---
(Developer cheat tools are becoming increasingly important for testing of such a huge game.)
* You can now use "mute on" and "mute off" commands to toggle eStim sounds.
* New options to set your x, y and z coordinates. Use with caution, as you can send yourself off of the map.
* You can type "dice" to play a game of Angels and Demons from anywhere. It lets you play, even if you don't have enough gold to cover the default 50 gold wager.
--- Bug Fixes ---
* The code that handles damage outside of combat (like traps and punishments) was not applying benefits from armor and specific damage resistance types properly. It now works as intended and I also added a flag that allows me to turn off that protection for some punishments. For example, it would make no sense to reduce damage via your armor if you are strung up naked and spanked.
* Negative skill boosts were being displayed as -+#. They now display properly as just -#.
