40 minutes seems to be long. Every feedback like yours here helps me to get a feeling where i need to improve the balancing. So thanks for this feedback :wave:

To answer your question: It's not completely random. ;-)

Feeding her has nearly no chance for an ending. But if you keep begging and taking every chance it should end sooner or later. Chances for an ending also should increase over time. Maybe you just were a bit unlucky, but maybe somethin didn't work as intended also.

Don't read the following spoilers if you don't wanna know exactly how the "magic" works.

These are the current important parameters for succubus behaviour:

Affinity: represents her general relationship with the player (derogatory, neutral, friendly or passionate). Will go up or down after a session depending on the performance of the player and influences different things in a session (for example chances which ending you get).

Heat: represents her arousal in the moment during a session (from 1 to 10). Will change often during a session depending on players actions (and a bit of luck). For example stroking tends to lower the heat, feeding her tends to raise her heat. Influences many things during a session (including which ending you get or how likely she will give you a bonus chance).

Feed/Beg/Chance: All different ways to feed a succubus, but with very different chances for endings and stuff. Your best chance for an orgasm is to feed her often (to raise her heat and give her much energy) and then take every chance she gives you. Begging is a possible way to try to force an ending, but chances for an orgasm are much lower here. Feeding her has nearly no chance for an ending.

StrokeCount: counts the time, the player "ignores" his succubus (goes up for each page just stroking, resets after each feeding). Influences different things and is for example be used to force some punishment if player is ignoring his succubus for to long

HostEnergyToday, EdgeCount: both represent the overal progression during a session. Will only go up during a session with each new feeding and edge, never down. Resets with each new session. Influences different things and could be used to unlock more interactions or change her behaviour during a session. There could be also different "minimum goals" to achieve for each session.

HostEnergy, Visits: Go up after each session, never down. Remember in comparison: Affinity can go down again after a session if player performed poorly (for example gave up to soon). So Energy and visits represent a general progression or "high score" of sorts tracked individually for each succubus. Don't influence much at the moment. Maybe for "story arcs" usable in the feature, building "longtime relationships" with a succubus

Difficulty: can be changed for each session and doesn't change during a session. Influences many things, including session length and chances.
Regarding to game length:

look at the function fG1DecideHoldingResult(delay) in the xml.

This function decides if a player gets an ending (and in result which ending). The function will be executed after the player edged and is holding his edge waiting for his succubus to decided what comes next (more holding, stop or an ending).

At the moment the vChanceForEnding is influenced by Difficulty, Heat, HostEnergy and the State of the game. The first three are explained in my spoiler above. In this case HostEnergy is my way to increase chances for an ending "over time" because HostEnergy represents the progression of the session and will increase over time. The last varibale for vChanceForEnding, the State of the game, can be one of three things: 1. just feeding her (very low chance for ending), 2. players begged for ending (normal chance for ending), 3. player took bonus chance (best chance for ending).

If the script decides the player gets an ending, the function fG1DecideEnding() follows and decides which ending. Again with different parameters influencing this decision.

Maybe that's where I went wrong... I begged her like 2 or 3 times only just to check it out. Didn't see any difference from normal edging, so I wasn't trying really hard to push it. I actually thought that the more I feed her the closer the ending, like she gets fed up with me (lol) and stop the tease. Guess I was wrong... :-|

Am I right that the edging length is topped by how many energy you have to feed? If you have 5 energy it will only be 5 sec, but if you have 20, it can be up to 20 sec until she eats it all up? If so, you basically have an exchange of 1 energy fed = 1 second of edge holding, or at leas it seemed so to me. If I am right you may want to include some constraints on session length. If you choose normal difficulty, she will be more likely to end the tease for you after you feed her over 200 energy, for example. You may wana make this number a bit random, but I think that numbers of
Easy: 100-200
Normal: 150-450
Hard: 400+
would be just fine. I used overlap to make it a bit less expected, so that easy can last longer than an odd normal sesion.
You don't change your current algorythms, they are fine, but you add a logic where if the succubus is already fed enough, then normal edging has a bigger chance to end the tease. The penality should be that it's more likely to end in denial than begging or chances. :rolleyes:

Here's some feedback:


What I like:
I love the idea how gamified it is. Heat, feeding, trying to increase energy in order to buy things or receive an orgasm etc. I like that there is a variety of images to pull from.


What I think needs improvement:
First, I'll preface this by saying that it's your tease. You should make it how you want. I would never include sissy stuff or feet fetish stuff in my teases, even though I know some people in the community like that just because Im not into that. Regarding this tease, I need a metronome. I don't know what it is about a metronome, but having one seems to keep me honest about my stroking and takes some control away from me. The other thing is that there doesn't seem to be enough variety in what's going on. A metronome would help with that. It gives the tease player a specific task to do (stroke a specific speed for a given amount of time) and can change every 10-60 seconds depending on how the programmer makes it.


Having said all that, maybe someone could add a metronome option to your tease. You click it, maybe you can set the speed ranges for it, and then it gives you that when you start interacting with your succubus. The other thing about metronomes, is that it adds an element of possible failure to the tease. If I can control how quickly I stroke, I can just go really slow and am never in danger of accidentally cumming even with lots of edges. But add a metronome in, and I might be forced to go to fast and have an accident.


Thanks for all your hard work! The succubi are all fucking hot and the images used of them are excellent.

Regarding metronome: check the thread here. Some posts above Ambossli (see my quote) provided a script that gives you EXACTLY what you decribed. You will find the link in his post. It comes with optional Metronome, possibility to set a range, some flexibility.
If you read on, you'll find some enhancements/ modifications. Feel free to modify the metronome idea further.
At this point I want to say that its great how the community works here!

I downloaded the Heart's Club content from the first page of this thread, but when I run the program there are a number of images missing. All of the intro images of "Orsy" are missing from the downloads I received.

I've been enjoying the latest version, however, I have noted something odd. Seems that all of the succubi except for Kayden Kross stats are saved. Kayden's are reset to 0 every time she comes up again.

Is this just me, or do I have something weird going on here?

d3vi0n was kind enough to get back to me in a private message. Apparently I hadn't gotten all the material. Downloading the same three files a second time got Orsy and all the hosts working.

I found another problem, but I was able to solve it. I am using a Mac to run GuideMe, and the program was not able to locate the random images folder for "inspiration". I looked for the reference in the XML file, and found directory references in the code that read "random\\jpg". I changed those to "random/jpg" (as well as all other double-backslash references) and the program works as intended.

I figured I should share my success.
