The us did link the first computers together that is certainly true, and it was created for weapons use and to allow communication between u.s military computers, in essence the internet.
however the internet or WWW that we all know and love today can be accredited by cern and the British engineer who wrote HTML, the first computer language and allowed the internet revolution, for the most part, to explode. clearly he has been rewarded with his recent knighting.
as for the internet being English well we can blow that idea well out the water, certainly it is true that English is common language on the internet, i fail to see how you can define some thing so universal and diverse with countless languages as being a particular nations language.
I identify WWW with the United States of America. They made it .and the language is english due to them.If the english dudes would have had their ways...all of us would have spoken in ethth...like wildsth, comentsth and listenintght .And ALL of us would bow down to some ,,Lord,,...and kiss his feet. And worship some Queen ..However,(thank GOD) the freedom of United States of America got rid of the non-sense of ,,wildst,,...and also of the ,,LORDS,and Queens, and cock-suckers.<, who need the feet kissing.Let the Lords from your parlament go to some gay sites ,I say....They look funny enough thinking they are,,LORDS,,..why not let them enjoy a healthy anal session from some mistress?
ps..I am not against gays..I used the words just to put some juice in my response.May I remind you that the english empire abandoned INDIA,when it could have had controll over it ,and make it part of England.However..besides the fact that english is part of INDIA...no progress I see there..still all time castes systems. The english failed this time with India, even so they succeded civilizing the New World (aka..United States of America...USA)
LOng live the WWW web I say...and we rule this time.
