apparently the term 'vanilla' sex comes from the idea that white people have less interesting sex than other races.. or at least that's what wikipedia suggests..

'Vanilla sex” may also be intended by the user to indicate "Caucasian" in the stereotypical but unfounded belief that such cultures are less sexually adventurous and promiscuous than others' ...

interesting but completely irrelevant really

and for me i enjoy the whole domination fantasy because in the rest of my life i hate being controlled and am quite dominant.. i think it's freud who said something about your negative experiences as a child developing your positive sexual experiences as you grow..

well that's just a load of rubbish, I think the general UK population would say it means refering to relatively boring, missionary style sex or less flamboyant form of intercourse- ok just not in those terms

The term vanilla comes from the flavor. You know the most people on this planet like vanilla ice, but some people think it tastes too simple and they choose strawberry.

Vanilla means: Simple, Boring, Common...

That is what I heard about, maybe I should edit this article

And sorry but another critisizing point is, that Freud was good when he lived. But now we know a lot of his theories are too simple and wrong. He was a great scientist but on the other hand some theories are just crap. But I also think it has something to do with my dominant personality which I have since I was born.

Hey, dont trash the Freud-man, he revolutionized the way we think about the human psyche, and most of what he said still holds true even though he himself also realised that new science and new techniques after his death would bring us further and that his works weren't complete. Oh and I'm sure all women have penis envy! Freud wouldn't just blurt that out ... would he?

I agree if you say he revolutioned our thinking of the human psyche, but it's not reasonable to describe his theories as the absolute truth. Because some theories are too simple and some are just wrong. You can't compare the first Ford motor with the newest Ferrari motor
