I replaced the exe in archive (and also pushed a fix if you were running from source). I didn't bump the version for this.saint337 wrote: Thu Nov 20, 2025 11:15 am Probably some typo or other minor thing but Im getting an error: 2d conversion failed: no module named 'processing.speed'.
Anyways, thanks for working and sharing this tool. :)

Re: Restim: e-stim audio generation software
correction, for some reasons now it works?!
Re: Restim: e-stim audio generation software
So a question:
does restim make a difference with a stereostim attached compared to MP3s or is this mostly a tool for FOC-Stim?
I'm not really able to build a FOC-Stim myself so I am kind of stuck on stereostim for now but it seems the trend goes towards using restim more and more.

Re: Restim: e-stim audio generation software
The signals you get our of the FOC-Stim and stereostim are identical in principle.
The FOC-Stim feels much more consistent than stereostim because the FOC does current control. The upcoming version of the hardware is also much more efficient, smaller, works on battery with wifi. But the signals are still the same.

Re: Restim: e-stim audio generation software
Hi, is there a calibration tutorial? I've read the github quickstart guide, but didn't understand everything it was describing, so am thinking it might be useful to have a tutorial to step through and know more of what to expect at each step.
Also, once calibrated, is it still better to use restim over an mp3 file generated after calibration? My 312b isn't close enough unless I'm using my Android tablet audio-out, so to use restim "live" I would need to either move my PC setup or get a longer audio cable.
TIA

Re: Restim: e-stim audio generation software
There is no expanded version of the quickstart at this time.
Restim was developed for stereostim (and later FOC). It does work on the 312 family, but since we don't know exactly how that device interprets audio, the calibration does not have the same effect as on stereostim.
When I was still using stereostim, I found that I had to adjust calibration when increasing the volume. That is one advantage of using restim 'live'.
