Version 2 starts with an Alpha phase that is laying the groundwork for features that will be gradually revealed with future updates.

In version 1 The Lust Society was reimagined as a video player that brought interactivity to your adult library, with Version 2 it begins its evolution into a dynamic, story-driven adventure.

What happened to the old 3D version?
Well... Life happened.
If you liked it, I did too and poured tons of hours in its development. Unfortunately that iteration became a labyrinth of limitations and roadblocks. A time-devouring project that could never reach any significant milestone.

So, what happened?
The Lust Society was rebuilt from the ground-up, without the 3D component.
Version 1 started as Video Player that turned any adult content on your PC into an interactive teaser. With Beatmeter and support to Intiface compatible devices. A way to let you, the player, decide the content that excites you the most, and how to enjoy it!

And what now?
The development of Version 2 has started.
During the alpha phase most of the work will be under the hood but features will be gradually revealed.
V2 reintroduces the story that was part of the original 3D version, in a different format, akin to a visual novel that will be enhanced with elements of a dating sim and RPG.

What's left to say? Just download and have fun!

It is in the form of a simple image that shows the UI, describes its functionality and the game logic.

- Reworked the Single Tease so it offers the choice between the two sub-game modes: Full Video (old Freestyle) and Segmented (old Single Tease).
- Increased the duration of each section in Segmented mode from 90 to 120 seconds.
- Added a Single Tease panel that shows the duration of the selected video and the game mode before starting the tease. This panel will provide further options and details in future versions.

- Added "Tease Bar Recovery Rate" setting. The higher this setting, the harder a tease will be.

- TLS will reject videos shorter than 2:30 minutes (might increase again in the future, slightly).

- Segmented is the default mode for videos 10:00 minutes or longer (can be changed to Full Video, if desired).

- The Single Tease is now selected from the "gamepad" button in the center of the Home page.
- Added Gradient Cues. These are the first context-dependent cues that gradually shift from the intensity of the currently playing cue to the next two lower/higher levels.
- Added "Edge Progress Bonus" setting. It defines how much the tease bar will progress when edging.
- In Full Video mode, if the end of the tease segment is reached, the game will now automatically move to the climax segment. This change does not affect the manual functionality.
- The Happy Ending button will only be enabled after the tease bar is full in the climax rounds as well. Note there's no recovery rate in the climax rounds, on purpose.
- Added button to change video directly from the Single Tease "Lobby" page.
Intiface Compatibility
- Minor rebalance of Linear-based Intiface actuators (e.g. The Handy).
- Fixed and rebalanced Vibration-based Intiface actuators (e.g. Lovense). Feedback on this is highly appreciated.
- Improved auto-connection functionality to Intiface compatible devices.
- Added button showing the status of the Intiface connection and to manually connect/disconnect.
- Losing the connection to an Intiface compatible device while playing, automatically empties the "cue queue" and activates audio cues (i.e. metronome-style).
- Connecting to an Intiface compatible device while playing, automatically uses the device for cues after the currently playing one.

Tested it and indeed it has great potential. Needed to look how to start the game in the beginning :)
This is nothing new at the moment. It will be nice to see how you go forward. Maybe also interesting in making multiple things out of this.

Examples I would see:

• A cock hero editor that lets you make a file of instructions to follow so that people can upload videos + instruction file.
  
  A game like you already suggested.
  
  Try the AI connection with for example an LM studio program that contains free AI tools you can connect to and make a local server. Your program is able to talk with that local server.

I dont want to be a downer, completely understand that solo developing a 3d game is a huge undertaking and runs into many problems, but I was hyped about a JOI-RPG. Always hoping more games like that will appear. 100% gpu utilization is a bit troubling, it had problems but i still played through the content like 3 times.
This current project looks too different, because for me the whole excitement about it is not being in control of tempo or duration but having to take challenges to progress, discover new content I dont know about , taking it on, being commanded, retricted etc.
Maybe it will evolve into something you or others make specific content for that functions like a CH series with levels to go through. The possibilities of an app also make it better to have a battle system, where the player does select actions to defeat an opponent and gets metronome & instructions according to that. or a maze-tease but with videos. idk it has potential but i dont see as of yet what it wants to be.
From what i understand its load your video and select your metronome speed every half min. I didnt figure out what the filling bar is for since nothing happens when i fill it. Im guessing the energy sign is for edging. but will that affect something in the future?
Its self-managed guidance for joi vids that have too vague instructions perhaps. Not completely useless, but it wont add much for me like this. Still best of luck with it.

It is in a early phase of development.
I'm adding more functionality every day, you can expect another release in the next few days, but you are right, it has no stand-alone content. I will add something along those lines in v2 but the tease will keep on being somewhat self-controlled.

Octa: the play button in v1.3 is repositioned right in the middle of the screen. It's gonna be easier to find :D
In general I started with a very simple UI and I'm constantly changing it depending on my personal experience and the functionality I'm adding. It's gonna get better, I promise.
As for some sort of editor, I have something in mind but consider that metronome cues and patterns need to be "converted" to keep compatibility with stroking devices and vibrators (I play with The Handy honestly, I can't stand the metronome lately). Is not as straightforward as it may seem. Not out of the question either.

Jackall: I know, I'm a bit sad as well for the 3D RPG version of TLS, and thanks for playing it 3 times! but many things changed in my life and keeping up with a 3D game on top of my job and family was just too much. I was spending more time trying to remember where I left off than actually developing.
Anyway, I'm a bit surprised the tease bar is not having any effect... If it is not full you shouldn't be able to move forward to the next section of the video (it would loop). What version did you play with? And how long was the video?
That is what adds difficulty to the self-tease. It should be more and more difficult to fill the bar in each video section. Or in the case of full video mode you would not be able to reach the last 2-3 minutes of the video unless you fill the bar once (the last few minutes of a porn video tend to contain a cumshot or cum countdown / cum instruction or whatever other climax moment).
Since it becomes more and more difficult to fill the bar, you might be forced to increase your speed or edge more to get to the climax part (yes, lightning bolt = edge). This was actually part of the combat I was developing for the 3D version and will get expanded over time.
But if it is not working for you, no wonder is not adding much. I would be bored as well! :D
Maybe there was a game breaking bug I didn't notice.
Wait for v1.3 to become public in a few days and try again, I corrected a few progress related bugs in that one (nothing I recall being game breaking though).

The work on v1.5 has started as well.
Planned, among other things, a UI overhaul so the video will be full screen, and the addition of the "Repeat Last" functionality so the player will need to click only when they want to change intensity or pattern.

The release of v1.6 marks a important milestone in the development the game.
With the addition of the Beatmeter, the Tease Controls and UI are complete, and the Tease Progress mechanics have been revised to lay the ground for the major game expansion that will arrive with v2.0.


TLS Companion
The Lust Society Companion is also being released to promote and finance the development of the main game.
TLS Companion is an overlay that provides the features of the TLS Tease Control Bar, including Intiface connectivity, and can be used to pace your tease or control your device while you watch a video on the internet, play on Milovana, or... well... do anything you do with your PC.
I want The Lust Society to remain free. But as its complexity grows - and greatly will in v2.0, see below - so does the time and cost it takes to develop it. This companion app is an entirely optional way to offset that cost for the time being.


Future Developments
The development of v2.0 has started!
It will take time - donate, become Patreon members, or buy the Companion! - but it will add many features with a story mode, NPCs that will influence your teases, and management mechanics that will let you "build the Society" to unlock more NPCs and features between one tease and the next!
Does it mean Version 1 is complete? No, you can expect v1.7 of The Lust Society in one month or so, as usual.
Version 1 releases from now on will mostly focus on maintenance, tweaks and minor additions.

The moment has finally arrived.

The Lust Society v2.0 Alpha 1 is now available for download on itch.io.
What began as a video player that brought interactivity to your adult library, with Version 2 begins its evolution into a dynamic, story-driven adventure. In Alpha 1, you'll be introduced to the post-apocalyptic and utopian world of the game, where you’ll meet the first character, Dr. Indy, who will gladly give you a bit of a backstory before giving you access to the video player you all know.

Alpha 1 may seem brief considering how long it took to be published, but most of the development focused on laying the groundwork for features that will be gradually revealed with future updates as the alpha stage progresses toward completion.

What's next?
Story progression and new characters, for sure.
As far as the teasing experience, let's say that Indy is willing to help and others might join...
This is just in the short term though.

Public vs Patreon
The Lust Society v2.0 Alpha 1 is the same version for both.
I'm thinking of a model to add entirely optional and absolutely minor perks as a thank you to those who donate on itch.io or become Patreon members.
