Or maybe it takes a teammate spending their points to get someone back in and then if someone ruins more than once the punishment to the whole team becomes bigger and bigger so it becomes a strategic decision to risk if someone should be bought back into the game.

Ruins could give minus points, instead of completely shutting them out of the game… I guess it all depends on the definition we give to ‘gooning’!
