Problem with uploading a backup json

Post by mangoman »

When I try to upload a backup of my recent works, I get this message:

Network error: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

No idea what I could do. Probably an easy fix? Please help :innocent:

Given that it says network error, and at the very first character of the file there may be something interfering with the upload.
Are you using a VPN? If so maybe try without that.

Beyond that:
How did you obtain/create this backup?
What do you see at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data?
Can you post the first couple lines for some context?

I downloaded the Miss Evans Repost Tease and want to upload it to my Eos to play it there on my own terms kinda.

Don't use a VPN currently.

Those are the first few lines in the json.

It looks like the key here was "how did you obtain this backup".

Use this link to get the json for that tease.

Code: Select all

https://milovana.com/webteases/geteosscript.php?id=50990
It should open in your browser, then you can save it to your computer. If you open it in an editor it will look like this:

Code: Select all

{"pages":{"444":[{"say":{"label":"<p><span style=\"color: #f48fb1\"><em><strong>As it may be too frustrating to keep drawing the same session from the random pool. The weekly sessions can now be ch
With the entire script as one big line.

You should then be able to go to the EOS editor, select the new tease you have created, then click Backup, then Upload, and upload that json file to to your new tease. I just tried it and it worked fine.
