Yes. I've noticed that for some time. Some good work has been downvoted at the beginning and then might not be seen enough to get the votes back up and enough people to see it.

Normally I don't play anything with a rating less than 4. I've not played your tease yet but I have played the other ones you have done and found them honestly really interesting and something quite different. Definitely among the better ones.

I wonder if it is jealousy or some bot that just clicks on every link starting with the first (one star) one.

I don't know if it is possible for admin to see if there are some users or bots which are doing this?

Well, if you don't write for the masses, why do you care so much about the voting?

People will be voting with respect to what they like. Only a fraction of those voting will even read your post. So there is no point trying to change that.

But then your Tease has a 3,7 rating. That is an above average rating, so some people like it some don't. Bad teases get worse ratings. And after trying your tease, I think that rating is perfectly justified. Yes, it is probably a massive tease you put massive amounts of work in. But the writing is just very convoluted, there is a lot of text that is very repetitive. You are told, you have to sign a contract to enter some labyrinth. And then you go off to this person talking to you and an other person talking to you and they all tell you some pointless stuff.
I like massive teases and labyrinths but your writing just started to bore me quickly. So from my perspective, the quality is not 5 stars but rather 3. It's not me not liking the kinks or whatever, the writing to me is just boring for the first 15 minutes or so and then I have up.
The tease also contains instructions. So far I have seen edging and locking myself up. There is however no flow to it. It seems like it is supposed to not only be a story-based tease but also instruction-based. But you get pages of text, then "edge" and "edge" again, and then more pages of text. That just does not work as teasing instructions.

I'm sorry to be so harsh, but a long tease does not make for a really great one just for being long. And it is fine, if you like it to be exactly that way. But then you should just ignore the ratings and accept, that your tease is for a niche of people.

I just wanna say: as a Tantric yogi/ni I adore your teases as they bring things together for me in unprecedented ways. Personally I was never able to finish your teases to the end (an absolute me versus the arrow of time issue), I hadn't learned the being able to rate before finishing yet, so I will definitely utilize that knowledge and send some 5 stars your way! And of course a hefty Namaste motherf*cker! ;)

I typically don't vote (mostly because I am too lazy to log in), but I hate to see good writers quit because of downvotes. We lost an excellent writer in Fenway due to trolls and downvotes.

This. Ignore the trolls, be interactive in the forums and folks will respect you and your work regardless of score.

For me, the only ones I routinely ignore are anime-type teases which I don't care about. (Hope that's not yours, I haven't seen it yet!) But otherwise, I'll give most teases here a little bit to impress me -- of course, if on page 2 the grammar is horrid and/or plot/instructions too unrealistic, I'll move on.

Well my friend, I have read your message and I really appreciate it you took your time for your opinion.

I have a warm heart for Milovana and this forum page is meant to let the organization of Milanova know what could be done better in the eyes of the users and creators.
In my opinion it's not a good idea that people can already vote on the first page of a tease...In fact, that's almost all.....And for the rest I'll leave it up to the organization here.

I think threads like this just feed those who downvote for no reason because they see their action inflicted some effect.

This is known issue all over the internet... it is known that Instagram, Facebook et cetera cause depression... they know it and they closed department that researched that. Youtube removed downvote counters because it encourages piling on creators and is not good for mental health.

I am thinking the voting system here could be removed and no one would miss it. Or leave it so that I can rate teases for myself (like favorites but I see my vote and my vote only). Both upvotes and downvotes can be manipulated, especially in small community like this, so you should not look at rating, look at feedback thread instead.

Well, I think it mostly works. Yes, teases that are a bit niche never get a 4.5 upwards rating. But basically, everything above 3 has something to it and everything below 3 is mostly shit. Below 2 is usually some kind of spam or broken.

The removal of down-votes on Youtube was a big issue. Having a huge amount of down-votes was an indicator, that there is something very wrong with a video.

Here, the voting system is used to suppress spam as well. If it were removed, we would need an other system for that.

You are correct... Youtube intended reporting system to handle spam/scams but their site is too big and they let AI handle everything and now you have cp or bitcoin scams up while legit videos get flagged into removal.

In any case, authors should not look at number of stars and instead rely on feedback thread to see how many people is playing their creation and what they think about it.

Semi-related so thought I'd share. I've been writing stories for years and just recently began adding them to Literorica and the comments I get can be baffling. Some down vote because it didn't contain their specific kinks, as if I wrote it just for them. Some want more hardcore porn descriptions, some want less. And of course some just downvote because they're idiots and think it's funny. My point is it's impossible to please everyone, but if the majority like it that's enough for me. I try to dwell on the mostly positive feedback I get and not the few negatives, unless they offer something constructive, which 99% of the time they do not.

My advice is to keep on keeping on, assuming you still enjoy creating. Can't control what others do. Focus on the positive and constructive feedback.
