What did they do at the airport?

Post by shinini »

I think I need a second opinion(s) on an "observeration". I don't know where else to ask such a thing :)

A few years ago, on a Friday afternoon, I was to pick up a friend at the airport. Since his airplane was a little bit delayed, I had to wait for quite a while. Standing there waiting with nothing to do, a quite pretty blond girl caught my attention. That's why I observed whom she was waiting for: Another blond girl, slightly older. They quickly kissed on the lips and walked straight (no pun intended) away to the right-hand side. Hand in hand, but without speaking a word. At that moment, I didn't think of anything special. That happened in a quite tolerant city in Europe. Girl-girl relationships and girls kissing and holding hands in public aren't anything extraordinary.
However, about 10 till 20 minutes later, they came back and went to the left-hand side. Still hand in hand and still without saying a word.

Now, one thing you must know about the arrival area of that particular airport terminal is that it has two exits. The one to the left-hand side directly leads to one of several parking areas, whereas the one on the right-hand side leads to everything else you'd expect on an airport (other parking areas, shops, cafés, connecting flights, taxis, public transport, toilets ... you name it).

So, I began to wonder: Why did they first head to the right-hand side and then to the left-hand side? And what did they do in between?

There's no clue that they were going in the wrong direction first. They seemed to know the place and moved determinately with no sign of confusion or losing orientation at all.

Now, of course, it could be that one of them needed to do whatever at the airport. But, even if you had communicated such a thing beforehand you would say something like "Remember that I wanted to go to the ... shop to buy .... before we head to the car?", wouldn't you? But no, none of them spoke a single word.

So, it seems to me that it must have been something they'd regularly do. A thing that is clear and needs no communication. (Again, it was a Friday afternoon: It's quite likely that one partner regularly went home over the weekend and they met each Friday at the airport.) Their movements seemed like routine to me, almost like a ritual.

And I'm wondering ever since every now and then: What kind of ritual might that be? Have a coffee at the airport before heading home? Go for a walk in the terminal?

I cannot help it. To me, the most likely explanation is that they went to the ladies' for ... well ... sexual activities.

Now: What do you guys think? Could I be right? Or is it just my oversexed/perverted mind dictating that assumption?

Maybe smoke some weed.

The problem is your story reads as if nothing extraordinary has happend. I guess everyone reading this will not get any suspicious impression the same way you did get by observing this. Not saying that thinking back to this scene might at some point give you a feeling like "bingo that is what was going on there!". Just recently I myself had some breakthroughs in the topics of Philosophy and Psychology, beeing part of a super team and I don't wanna miss this feeling of self-affirmation.

Sometimes it is helpful to abstractly view human behavior in form of mathematic equations to be able to distace yourself emotionally.

Funny. While reading this my thinking went like this: "Sure, they had sex on the toilet... no, that's only my perv brain... they probably only had a welcome coffee."

Well, we will never know what really happened. If there is such thing than parallel universes, then there is one in which they had quick steamy gg sex on the toilet and one where they just sipped innocently at their coffees.

But think of it... there is even a third possible parallel universe, where you followed them... :w00t:

Not necessarily directed at OP, but also to readers.

If your lines between fantasy/porn and reality are blurring, a-la Penthouse Forums where you're imagining everyone around you fucking or wandering off for a rendezvous, I would highly recommend taking a break from porn and potentially checking in with a therapist about your isolation.

Everyone's feeling a bit more isolated and "windowed in" over these last couple years. The leaning on social media for contact with others during closures and restrictions means that we're at greater risks for social maladjustment, from lack of human contact as well as the need to keep up appearances on social media. Adjustment disorders are much more prevalent than before 2020. Particularly on the male side of things, the aggression and anger unconsciously bred from isolation are huge flags for what has (finally by gov bodies) been identified as a social threat. https://www.lawfareblog.com/incels-amer ... ism-threat

While the little tale and fantasy by OP are for the most part harmless and a little dirty daydreaming... *fixating* on this and building a whole mental world construct isn't terribly healthy and can lead to a series of behaviors that will get you on the RSO list.

TL;DR - Fantasize, sure. Nothing wrong with it, it's why we're *here* right? But be aware that this has a creepy vibe, and "people watching" in this modern era isn't always welcomed by the public. There are no shortages of horror stories from innocent women (and men too) who have been on the receiving end of an escalation from simple fantasy.

Glad to hear to I'm not the perv brain. But then I asked on a sex site ...
I like the idea of parallel universes. But the sad thing is: I will never ever communicate with the "me" who joined them for a threesome :-D

And thanks for your serious notes, throwawayacct. I think you are right in general. I have reduced my porn consumption over the years and I think that was a positive move.

And just to clarify: I'm quite sure that I did not actually do anything "creepy" back then (that "story" happend pre-pandemic BTW). I'm with you that staring at people in public or intensely watching them is a no-go. But I just had my eyes wandering around while standing there and having nothing to do. I could not help but notice what happened around me.

Yeah, I had figured as much - I mean who among us hasn't taken a glance and had a fleeting perv thought - I'd assumed this was as much. More of just a caution and reminder, really - I'm seeing lots of maladjusted behavior out there from folks who have been socially restricted for a couple years, during the course of my work travels.
