Kink.com is coming with a new Estim Box and other things in 2022

The idea of using LUA to add more capabilities is interesting but it seems that it will just raise the bar on how difficult it is to create content, versus the current, simpler estim audio track. It would be nice to have a commercial low-duty cycle/TENS estim box that feels as good as DIY, but no one's done that yet. I have a 2B and et-312 that sit on the shelf, versus my DIY box. So while a better box would be nice, what's lacking is good estim content. Excellent CH estim content gets dropped maybe once a month(?), depending on your tastes. I like softcore and I don't see kink.com making a lot of that.

I don't know it's it's possible, but the killer app would be software that generates estim audio from any video source. Imagine being able to play any porno and have a reasonable estim track! That would be nirvana. I don't care that much if the estim follows the porn action "stroke for stroke", it just needs to take cues from the video and build over time. Maybe something as simple as harnessing a porn detection algorithm that increases the intensity the more skin is shown and if there's more motion in the video? In summary, there's tons of great porn video out there but comparably little estim content to go along with it.

The Box will be able to support both ways, so I think it's great that we are giving choice instead of being stuck in Estim Audio land in the normal way forever, because of Course it should still support normal Estim Audio, but we should not be limited by it.

That is a great idea! Simple heuristics that can be automated, leading to lots of content of at least decent quality.

I appreciate what kink.com is doing because there is no current commercial box that can do audio estim quite right. I hope they get it right. All I was trying to say is that it's like they're coming out with a new game console, which is great, but the console doesn't mean much without games. Being able to play the old games (estim audio) is a big plus. If they can come out with something that makes it easer to develop better games (LUA), that's a plus. But if they could find a way to automatically make a new game based of an existing movie, with minimal developer input, that would be the killer feature and make it a must buy product (Take my money!!!). Hardware is nice but content is king.

I will go on record and will pay at least $500 USD to anyone who can come up with software that can automatically make good estim audio tracks from an existing movie, with minimal user input. Preferably open source and can run on Linux.

There was a program where you could set two points, for instance it was during a normal fucking scene, and the program was able to read the motion between the two points and then translate it to motion for these autostroker, it was a very early thing, but it showed potential, so I think, like you already mention the development if it will happen will be by some programmer, with enough time on their hands :)

I'm excited about the scripting system, which I think gives eStim content creators more control to create and share eStim sessions and patterns than audio files have in the past. But, it is important to me personally (and I know it is to the eStim community at-large) that the device is still "backwards compatible" with audio input and audio file playback. If you want audio playback that emulates existing, older devices, it can do that; but with higher audio fidelity and more customization possible for interpreting audio, it should also be capable of using audio input in creative ways that current boxes cannot."

Oh yeas totally agree with the backwards compatibility aspect, with normal audio, having said that I also am looking forward to what will in manner of speaking will be a Deep exclusive creations along the line with more immersive teases, video or text based.

I can't wait to see what the possibilities are here, and Kink just updated their website to say they anticipate shipping on, "early 2022". My hope is that it can be programmed with a series of if-then logic to allow a normal audio file to be played, but once started, can't be touched. The motion sensor built in will effectively keep you from unplugging it or turning it off. Each channel has a detector to see if something is plugged in, so it can, in theory, react to unplugging a lead. The last piece is to see if it can detect active current through the leads, which I was told was the plan, but that the kink team couldn't promise.

If all of those conditions are true, you could set it so that of you moved the device, unplugged it from the audio source, unplugged any one lead, or disconnected any lead from your body, it would trigger a punishment signal on another or all other leads . So, queue up your favorite 2 hour CockHero estim file, set the punishment timers to be active for 1 hour, 55 minutes, give yourself 5 minutes to get your volume settings right, and then you're essentially trapped for 2 hours whether you climax early or not at all.

I can't wait for this thing to ship!!

I tried ordering one. I am in Canada and all shipments to Canada are cancelled due to COVID. They may be dealing with either production issues or shipping and handling issues or both. They were kind enough to promise I will still get their introductory price once shipments to Canada resume.

I've asked their customer service team twice and they're very noncommittal on a ship date. That's not a dig - they're doing their job and with supply chain being what it is now, I respect their inability to commit to a date.

They updated their website to say "coming soon". It said, "early 2022" for a while but now that part is down.

Here's hoping that the supply chain issues unravel soon (they won't, but I'm trying to be optimistic).
