Right, I'm going to just throw a bunch of ideas in a spoiler below. I'll try to spots where the game could customize the duration/severity/etc.
Another thought, there are a collection of random tasks from each of the hosts in the 1000th Reply Celebration Challenge link in my signature, feel free to scan through their tasks and use ideas from there too.
Depending how the punishments fit into your game, it might also be possible to have a system where multiple punishment tasks are assigned simultaneously. This can add some pretty unpredictable and interesting variety when tasks combine in unique ways.
I will add some things in () brackets, which basically just means this can be an option to pick one, several or all of. Feel free to run with the ideas too, I doubt my list is in any way exhaustive.
The pretty obvious ones:
Denied for X days
CBT session
Icy Hot

Negative game progress
Begging to be punished by another player (if this fits the game)
Punishment Orgasms (some may work for ruins)
