Hi all,

After a long while of experimenting and editing, I've finally tried my hand at creating a Virtual Reality CH experience. Even knowing that not everyone has VR gear these days, nevertheless I find the format pretty interesting and actually brings a lot of new challenges to organizing videos and sequences.

The video is split into 7 rounds (42+ min total), each dedicated to a particular girl. The beats are mostly straight forward, since in VR it's quite difficult to have a constant beatmeter on the bottom and guarantee the viewer can see it. I initially experimented with jumping between many girls, but found the experience a bit disorienting and lacked cohesion. In any case, it starts with some teasing and striptease, and getting to the harder stuff at the end. The links are as follows:

Looks really cool man but I can't get it to play with any VR players. It will open with VLC on my desktop but not in VR with Steam, Oculus, Skybox, etc. How are you viewing it on a VR headset? Thanks for the help.

I use either DeoVR or Whirligig on the Oculus Rift to view it. It is encoded using H.265, and I think you have to have DirectShow enabled for it to play properly. Both the aforementioned programs should have that option. I'll admit I'm not a total expert on LAV Codecs, and if they are somehow associated with settings on your GPU. Let me know if that helps.

No VR gear for me, but thanks for bringing out the possibilities.

It is encoded using H.265, and I think you have to have DirectShow enabled for it to play properly.

I also don't have any knowledge of VR, but I know that H.265 is an issue on some systems because it requires more computing resources than H.264. Maybe re-rendering or re-encoding using H.264 would help? A quick test might be to use Handbrake.

One thing you can do is use HANDBRAKE with the RF18 Constant Quality option, all other options by default. You'd be surprised how smaller the video becomes, without any impact to the quality.

I got to play this yesterday and boy, it was great! It all worked pretty much flawless! I thought your choice of girls was top notch, music too. I really liked the tempo as well, from softcore to hardcore! I came at the end of round 2, but played on until the final round where I didn’t last long. Really great work! I hope you make more!
In my opinion this is the first true, ‘full featured’ VR Cockhero, so for making that I think you deserve some kind of medal. I have been waiting to see what Ebhan‘s teased VR project would turn out to be, but your work just fulfilled all of my high hopes for a CH in VR. You are like a dark horse, and I’m putting you next to the creators such as required (Cock Hero Island), Tittyluvr1334 (Canto Inferno) and Ebhan.

If I can offer some constructive criticism I would like to point out some pro’s a con’s:
Pros:

• The build up for each girl is great - especially with more build up in the early rounds than the later rounds

• The angle between clips is kept pretty much the same which is a huge plus. I still figit though, but I think I always does that in VR

• The lenght is great, 30min to an hour is for me a full length CH, which is hard, but not impossible to complete in one sitting

• Almost all the clips chosen worked from a sitting position - thank god!

• The beatmeter worked really well, with the red beat indicating change and prompts helped too. I even found that even though it sometimes popped up over, sometimes under the action, I never lost track of it.

• The girls was great!

  Especially having Lana Rhodes as the final level - but boy was Mira Azul also a great choice!

• It was definitely the right choice to do one girl at a time.

• Great use of multiple studios which blend together really well!

• Great use of audio in each round.

• Great GREAT use of mixing in audio of the action into the music. The first moan really got to me as it was really immersion creating!

Cons:

• The quality could be better. It would create a bigger file, but that’s okay. I’ve gotten pretty used to VRBangers 6K and the other studios 5K, but it is really only a minor issue here. I guess I always want better resolution - especially in VR, as I want to take full advantage of my Index.

• Though I loved your choice on one girl at a time, it could be great with some FFM or FFFM scenes as well, while still maintaining focus on one girl. For example Gabbie Carters performance in VRBangers Christmas special is pretty great!

• I misses a final round prompt instead of just round 7

Thanks for the support and glad you liked it! As for the beats, placing them was always an issue... I tried to place them where they can easily be seen yet not be too obtrusive to the overall experience. The ideal scenario would be some sort of UI where the beatmeter can always be seen on the bottom of the interface, no matter where the user faces. Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge, I don't think this exists yet.

As to your suggestions: Yeah I was using some old videos and hence the quality isn't as good across all scenes. I'm starting to experiment with FFM and FFFM scenes, but for my first project I really just wanted to focus on trying to get things right with one girl at a time (it's much easier since there's not many positions to switch from/to). As for the final round prompt, I'll keep that in mind :)

Yeah, I'm excited as well to see where VR CH leads, but aside from a few videos on pornhub, there isn't much else. I'm sure there are people out there with better editing skills that can definitely add something to the mix here.

I have samsung Gear VR. Will this work on that platform or is it super hi-res that request Oculus/Rift ?

It looks like the resolution of this video is 6400x3200. My oculus go does not support that resolution. The oculus go can play up to 4800x2400 60fps h264 or 4096x2048 60fps h265. Maybe I will reencode this in a year or two for the oculus go when I have a better pc.

Tested just now on GearVR using Galaxy S7 and moon VR player (admittedly quite an old handset now). Does NOT work (at least not using the original upload, haven't tried the re-encode yet) - the framerate drops to a few frames per second, and the video lags massively behind the audio.

Wow. Had some fun with this. First of all, thanks so much for doing this. VR stuff like this are very few and far between and I suspect partly because its just so hard to find scenes that mesh together without jarring the experience. But you.. what you have wrought, is pretty awesome. You've given me a new appreciation of VR stripping scenes -- and perhaps solved why I usually get bored of them. I don't know how you found scenes that mesh together so well but it was so well done.

Like others said and perhaps you probably realized, how to do a proper beatmeter in VR? I think you were aiming to put it in the middle and the style was good, but the size changes detracted. I suppose having the same resolution sources would help or properly adjusting it based on the source resolution. But hey, that would make finding the right videos that much harder so if I have to deal with beatmeter issues for the sake of content, I'd vote in favor of content. Besides, the audible beat signaled me equally well and if we get into funscripts when this sort of thing becomes more prevalent, it'd be moot.

Maybe a cohesive storyline for the next one would be awesome for something like this.
