some enjoy the taste of cum. I heard that what you eat affects the taste of it. No idea if it is true.

I'm a politics geek, if you'll excuse me for a moment. There's actually a very simple solution to this called approval voting. In this method of voting, people are allowed to vote for as many options as they like, instead of just picking one option. So the question isn't "which one of these 5 teases do you think is the best?" but "which one or more of these 5 teases do you think deserves to be tease of the month?" For me, there's often more than one tease I think deserving. Under this method, there's no split vote problem (or "spoiler"), people who liked the 2 similar teases can just vote for both of them. The other nice thing about this voting method is it gives a more accurate sense of the enthusiasm people had for each option. Imagine a month where there were 5 fantastic teases, but 1 was clearly better than the rest. Under the regular pick one voting system, everyone votes for the 1 great tease, and the other 4 get very few votes. It looks like no one liked those. However, under the open method of voting, everyone votes for the 1 great tease, but also a couple of the other teases they really liked. The same tease would win, but the others would show a lot more votes, accurately representing the fact that people loved those teases too! Ok, end of argument for my personal little voting methodology obsession.
Sorry but I disagree. Maybe it would be "fun" to see what happens, but a lot of people here take the TOTM serious and I don't want to make an experiment out of it. In fact a lot of the last votes were very close. Often a webtease with just one or two more votes won.
I think the current system is fair.
Beside that... I was amused to see a discussion about "normal"

It wasn't meant for your amusement... You abuse your power on this site... You've manipulated harassed the Dommes and caused people to leave... Don't tell me having a kink is not normal. It's just normal to hide it, which is pretty sad.

Re: Comment on the tease of the month
Any more thoughts about, besides of some not really productive flaming from a special person here? I am always open for suggestions. I just don't get the point why it's bad that one tease has a small amount of votes in the end. In fact it's already a commendation being nominated or is it not? Nobody can seriosuly think people don't like the webtease because of that.
I mean it's everything possible for example to grant the user the option to change the vote after already voted. But I think a simple system is the best way of transparency.
1 account = 1 vote
Easy

Re: Comment on the tease of the month
Maybe you didn't understand the proposed voting system, but it's not like one would be "playing around with it" like you implied by trying it for just one month. That's a very negative connotation. Milovana is about being open to try new things so you shouldn't be immediately opposed to even the suggestion of changing something, without giving it a chance instead of immediately knocking it off as something not even worth consideration. People do take TOTM seriously, and as such having the best possible system is important.dark wrote:Sorry but I disagree. Campico, do you know of the voting method where people prioritize their list of who they feel should win the vote? That is, people vote for whoever they most strongly should feel should win TOTM, and then next vote who should win TOTM if their first choice doesn't get enough votes, and so on? This is a method used with a lot of book awards that are determined by votes. Basically people put in order all voting candidates to reflect who they most want to win to who they least want to win. And when voting time comes around, the person with the least amount of votes is knocked off the list, then everbody's votes get shifted, then the person with the next least amount of votes gets knocked off the list, etc, until there is only one person left. This is probably my favorite and most logical system of voting.
Given how amazing Seraph0x is with anything technical on the web, it too wouldn't be that hard to implement interface-wise. It'd just require a separate page for TOTM where one can drag and drop TOTM candidates in order of priority. The question would be something like "Who do you feel should this month's TOTM winner be, in order of priority? Drag and drop to rearrange the list."

Re: Comment on the tease of the month
Ok got you Evals, sorry I just read here a mix of intolerance (cum eating is not "normal", whatever normal means) and serious good suggestions, which maybe I misunderstood. This would make really more sense than just letting people vote on for example 3 webteases with an equal weight of their votes. This would mean we need to do the TOTM vote outside from the forum or change the forum software.
But I hope you are still with me when I tell you having a different opionion about (like I still have) should be also allowed. I think your idea has good aspects but it's not necessary in the end. My first arguement would be still to grant all people who want to vote easy access to it. Because I think the quantity of the votes is more important than the quality in this case. I know this is also a difficult question especially in a democracy. More quality can lead to a better result more quantity can lead to a better understanding of democracy. Although we shouldn't compare a TOTM vote to any political votes at all.
I think making the system more complicated could demotivate people to vote.
Another point:
We already give people the chance to rate the webteases. This is already the most democratic way of selection and this is also the reason why I said it's not a bad thing ending with your nominee on 5th place with only 3 votes. The webtease was already voted in the nominees with the system you are suggesting now Evals.
So my opionion is still to keep it like it is. It's a good healthy mix of rating the webtease 1-5 for pre selection and then make a final decision. This is only my opionion. And this is important for me: I would never count my opinion here higher than yours or anybody elses (if they are serious and have good intentions).
But thank you for making it clear what you think. It is something we will maybe also dicuss in the team or maybe seraph0x will add some thoughts about here too. Again: I think the idea is not bad, it also has some bad sides like everything has.
Not sure if we can test this, because I am just afraid people will not like it and vote less. As you can see we have a steady increasing vote amount. Why changing a running system?
That's all I can think about right now, maybe later I will add something
