Well there is something like this: https://milovana-html5.appspot.com/welcome/start
It's not perfect, put shows that it can be done quite easily. Neither nyx nor the tease player does complicated things.
There is also this:
https://github.com/mozilla/shumway
It's an flash player implemented completely in javascript. It has limitations but it might run the milovana stuff and it can directly embedded in a webpage or installed as a browser extension. I would not recommend this approach though.
Flash support ends in three years…

Re: Flash support ends in three years…
FYI - Java is on the way out for support too so HTLM5 so far seems to be the only solution currently on the horizon that might be supported for the foreseeable future. We'll have to wait and see if someone else throws themselves under the bus.kerkersklave wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2017 4:38 pm Well there is something like this: https://milovana-html5.appspot.com/welcome/start

Java Applets are oon the way out of support or are already there.
But I was talking about JavaScript! Which is what is used as programming language for HTML5.
So this java script flash player is a valid HTML5 solution. The only issues with it would be, you would keep an old technology, tools to work with it won't be maintained and you can't really profit form the new technology, and this of course quite a large piece of software, so it would slow down loading of flash teases and it might not run on devices with weaker processors. And as flash was never completely documented, their might be incompatibilities.

I'm not sad to see Flash die. It's been pretty terrible in terms of security holes in recent years. Bye-bye Flash, you won't be missed.
