Dear Folks,
I am trying to work out why the different Cock Hero videos play on my (admittedly ancient) iMac with varying degrees of success?
For example, the Gracie Glam MP4 LQ version plays just fine, video, sound and beat all in sync.
But when I try the Cock Hero Flux Episode 5 MP4 LQ version the video breaks up, the sound and beat go out of sync and it is virtually unwatchable.
I am just using the Quicktime player.
Different Video Formats?

Re: Different Video Formats?
hey bookworm, les will probably drop in here to give you a more complete answer and probably correct what I have to type here.
Basically, it has to do with two things:
1) The actual file type/association of the movie file (i.e. mp4, avi, mov, mpg, mpeg, etc.,)
2) The video and audio codecs used to encode the video (i.e. divx, xvid, h264, etc.,)
Since both videos you mentioned have are .mp4's, that's probably not the issue. What it sounds like is the video codec used in the CH Gracie Glam is more compatible than the one used in the CH Flux 5. I would garner a guess that the CH Gracie Glam was made on either a Mac or it was encoded using a Mac-friendly codec (h264 most likely) while CH Flux 5 may be using one that's not. I don't have either video files to check which codec is being used, but if andyp and Vindicare are using the same codec, they're probably using mp42 codec format, which I believe is the latest Microsoft MPEG codec. That might be the reason why you're having trouble playing CH Flux 5.
The solution is to use the Mac and PC friendly video player VLC Player.
EDIT UPDATE: Ah I see, les already replied. And quite concisely, contrary to what I thought he would do.

Re: Different Video Formats?
This time it is a Mac specific link,
So more details would be superfluous.
