Please, at least TRY to spell words correctly

I'm a fiend for proper spelling and grammar, but I don't believe you should be discouraged from making a tease simply because you're not superb at words. It's just... not as good. I would agree with the previous poster: If you want to make your teases exceptional, get an add-on or extension for Firefox, the grandest of browsers, to spellcheck your work, or at least run your text through a spellchecker. These are easy solutions. British and American English are different styles and therefore word choice is entirely a matter of what kind of character you want to portray in a tease.

I accept that there is going to be mistakes in a tease, but applaud those who go through the extra trouble of making what they submit excellent - which for me does involve an adept manipulation of the language. If I ever work up the guts to submit a tease of my own, though, I should hope someone enforces the grammar police rule on me.

Having only been here a few months, I missed this topic when it went around first time. Could there be perhaps a linked page in the tease editor that will show a list of the most commonly mispelled words? The ones that grate most with me are:

your instead of you're
loose instead of lose

If the feature to enable co-authors is implemented, which would presumably be done primarily for spelling and grammer checking, those co-authors could perhaps have write-access to that page to add new mispellings they come across them.

This is a good idea, but I doubt it's going to be high on Seraphox's list of things to do.

As suggested previously in the thread, if you're running Firefox, you can get an add-on to check your spelling and grammar.

Personally, I write all my teases in Word, first, then post them after running them through spell check (if I remember). I also read through my teases out loud 3-4 times prior to making them public. So, I catch most of the issues. Reading out loud is a REALLY good way to catch problems.

Even with that, I sometimes miss something - especially if I've made a late change on-the-fly in the tease editor. I try to correct all of the problems I find when I read back through the published tease.

On the whole, I incorporate "they're from another country" into the fantasy when I am reading a tease. There's one I read through the other day about this guy being locked up in a device during his engagement to this smoldering hot, dark-skinned beauty - at her sisters' behest. (I apologize to the author that I cannot remember the title.) To me, this obviously fit the "other country" mode. So, the awkwardness of some of the phrasing, as well as some of the spelling errors (there were not a lot) all became part of the fantasy.

That said, there have been one or two that I've simply had to leave because I spent more time transliterating their text than concentrating on the tease. But, that has been very rare. Especially if the girls make it worth clicking continue.

These could be two links that could be added to the editor home page, but my thought is that while it would be "nice" if everyone spelled words properly, I think we can let those who actually contribute to the collection of teases off the hook.

I do agree with a voluntary job of a trusted member (or two) being a spelling mod that could just go through new teases and correct their grammar and spelling once a week or every other week. Except in cases where the incorrect spelling or grammatically license is being used "in character" with the tease to add favor.
