It's not that I don't appreciate that people work on these on their free time and do it for free. But I mean, what's the point in making a CH with no text-teasing, no story, no voice-overs, no alternatives to choose from, etc? If that's what I want, I'll watch regular porn. ...
i don't care either way re the text teasing and to be honest i find "stories" mostly poorly done and anyway they just don't work, i find, and just get in the way; to be clear that's just my own view, and i'm not meaning to say people shouldn't do those
i think a CH that is "just" images and beat meter (or at least a clear and pronounced beat to follow) is totally great and that is the point; it's quite a skill to curate and edit the images to optimize arousal while marrying that to a set of challenging-but-not-too-challenging beat patterns
there's a problem, i find, with anything more, including voiceovers as well done as the one here: the increasing specificity of additional material further defines and constrains the arousal experience, creating more specific and additional inputs which, with each additional element, increases the likelihood of triggering something as undesired for arousal at least as much as it does of increasing that likelihood for something desired for arousal
for example, voiceovers and text teases often say things like "oooh you must be close to cumming" or "dont' cum!" or "go ahead and cum." nice idea, but very often these aren't synching at all to where i personally am at that moment - and that's a very simple example
so the point is there's a lot to be said for beat and visuals; and i think it's critical not to at all trivialize or minimize the careful skill of creating great visuals that work well across 30-120 minutes while matching to that beat - and to be clear on a point, that's one of the things this CH does so very, very well
to be honest, while i think the voiceover was great here because the voice talent person was really good and i always like to see experimentation, i don't think it made the experience meaningfully better (more arousing or more challenging as a game); however, thankfully, it also didn't make it meaningfully worse and, to be clear, i would say it was overall an enhancement; i wouldn't call it icing on the cake as to me the icing is what makes a cake, but i might call it the candles on the cake or the decoration to the cake, something that did boost an element of the presentation but doesn't make a fundamental difference to the central purpose and experience of the product
but i don't want to discourage the voiceover direction, i could see it becoming crucial to certain CH experiences, for example such as a humiliation-centered CH; but for a general audience CH to be honest i don't think the voiceovers are that important an add, especially as the only way they will work well for a general audience is specifically by keeping them so generic they "can't" do more/less than the visuals and beats are already doing
