New Chat (and Temporary Chat)

Temporary Chat is scheduled to be down starting at 10am EST / 5pm UTC time for up to 2 hours on Tuesday, June 5th 2012

Having just talked to Seraphox, I wanted to share an update.

The Milovana team is currently in the process of moving to a new chat server and software. We have the software installed and are still in the process of getting everything together and integrated, and then slowly enabling the features of the new chat system. This has nothing to do with current chat issues (or that it's currently down at 13:00 / 1:00pm GMT May 26th). However due to some hard work we were able to get the chat server up so it can function as the temporary chat room while the normal chat room is down.

Updated Milovana Temporary Chat!

Once the room loads, you'll be given the username of whatever your Forum profile name is. For the time being, you can't change your username (though you will be able to in the near future). We don't have all the normal rooms setup, or features quite yet, but it will serve well for having chat hosted on Milovana that everyone can get into the room while the current chat system is down, until we're ready to go ahead and launch and move over to the new system!

Feel free to leave any comments you have in regards to the looks, functionality, etc of the new system, though be forewarned it's not quite all setup for features that will be there. Also please don't hesistate to send me a PM or reply in this thread if you have any issue getting onto that new page.

KNOWN BUGS:
+User List Might Not refresh: If users are talking that aren't in your user list, try refreshing the page. We know about the issue and are working on it
+Login Bug: Sometimes if you leave and come back too fast it gets a bug
+Random Disconnecting (most actively being worked on)
+PMs occasionally not working... Related to above bugs
