Yeah the CS is an interesting read and if nothing else it shows that we aren't the only group interested in doing this kind of thing. The setup for the CS is going to be very cost prohibitive though. I think we can do better. I was hoping they would have a section on how they did the electronic lock...

Thanks for the warnings les! I am taking care to be very careful. Only using below the waist regardless of the current. Though, I have been zapped a few times I didn't intend to be. I've remove the LARGE capacitor from the camera and connected my two shocking leads in it's place. Not only was the cu...

3.5mm audio jacks
I'm looking to dress the hardware up a little bit. Anyone know of a good place to order 3.5mm audio jacks and cables with the male ends. The jack will need to be able to attach to a plastic project box. I looked a bit on google and radio shack and didn't find what I was looking for.

New stuff
Good news! I believe I am done rewriting the microcontroller code. If you are curious here it is: #define NUMDEVICES 8 // Mode 0 is OnOff and Mode 1 is Level (PWM) int OnOffPins[] = {13, 12, 8, 7}; int LevelPins[] = {11, 10, 9, 6}; // Pins 5,4,3,2 are used for accelerometer struct device { int mode;...

Yep, I'm still here and still moving forward with the project. Haven't been posted an update for awhile. So, here it is. I just received some new hardware to play with! Here is what is in the hardware setup so far: http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/produc ... ts_id=7914 http://www.sparkfun.com/commer...

Indeed, RadioShack sells an toy RC car for $10 called ZipZaps. I haven't looked at how to interface the controller to a microcontroller. I remember seeing something about it in one of the 123 microcontroller experiments for the evil genius books. No need for it to be RC though, could just as easily ...

We don't have to be 100% failsafe. Anytime you engage in any sort of bondage play -- even with a partner -- there is some inherent risk. We just need to take precautions. Here is another idea. Have the key attached to a padlock, then have our circuit open the padlock. This allows a user to tie a str...

Thanks for the translation Seraph0x! This is a very good point. Software can very easily solve a key release problem. I've used a program called timelock before. It required the user to set a combination lock then scan an image of it. You have to do this without actually looking at the combination (...

So, saying things like: I'm unimpressed with your posting history ... all you do is bitch and moan will generally provoke an argumentative response. That is trolling. The intent of pointing this out is to prevent users from being baited into a hostile responses. At which point things generally digre...
