As said before, ice is just water which is (normally) safe. Just be careful about sharp edges on the ice.

I doubt I can help with this, but have you tried resetting your browser or the settings? You've already reinstalled flash, so the only thing I can think of is that it could be the browser or perhaps something you have installed that is interfering with flash.
