Re: GuideMe (TeaseMe v2.0): BETA Thread
Philo Your examples so far show how to define a timer node in XML. But how do I create a timer node in Javascript? I looked in your documentation in your wiki on GitHub, but I couldn't find it there. Is it as simple as using setTimeout? Or do I need to be calling a special function or something? Th...

Aye. I've been keeping an eye on that.philo wrote:I have been working on the next version which will allow a lot more.
if you look at the closed issues on github any thing marked 0.1.4 is in the next version.
Good work. Looking forward to it.

Re: GuideMe (TeaseMe v2.0): BETA Thread
Is there a way to use a delay to trigger a JS script WITHOUT then going on to refresh the page? Because at the moment, if you have a delay, whether it's defined via XML or via JS, you HAVE to specify a target page. So Guideme forces you to branch to whatever page you specify. You can put in the cur...

Re: GuideMe (TeaseMe v2.0): BETA Thread
Hi Phil I've done some investigating and found something interesting. For me, GuideMe uses IE 11 because I'm using Windows7. But here's the kicker. Something is forcing it down to document mode 7 (equivalent to IE 7). Furthermore, if I try to override the document mode using a <meta http-equiv state...

Re: GuideMe (TeaseMe v2.0): BETA Thread
Hi, I don't know if you still need help with the problem or not. But the reason why it works outside but not inside GuideMe is because the engine that is being used is in guideMe is IE7 (iirc). This means that certain CCS styles/techniques simply won't work. In your case, it is the transform proper...

Re: GuideMe (TeaseMe v2.0): BETA Thread
Greetings coders I've got a problem trying to vertically centre a piece of text in the left html window. If I use this page in a regular browser (and I've tried FF IE and Chrome), it works perfectly. But when I get GuideMe to display it in the leftHTML pane, it just won't vertically centre the text....

Re: GuideMe (TeaseMe v2.0): BETA Thread
If you want to upload the xml somewhere and pm me a link I will run it in debug mode and see if I can see what is going on. It will either be it is remembering the value and the function to change it is not working or as you suspect it is caching the function. I had a quick look at the code but the...

Re: GuideMe (TeaseMe v2.0): BETA Thread
Hi Phil I want to mention a fault I've found in the Javascript handling in GuideMe. I'm getting some odd results because GuideMe is remembering JS functions from previous pages. Let me explain in more detail, with some simplified scripts of what I'm trying to do. First, say I have the following glob...

Re: FlashTease to TeaseMe conversions.
I’m using Opera, so I can’t access that function, Google switched to older version of web interface on classic opera for some reason. I can answer that one with this link if you're interested: http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-29012038 But I've realised that we're getting off topic, so we'll leave...

Re: FlashTease to TeaseMe conversions.
I used to use TinEye. But I've been using Google to do the same thing for a while now. Many people don't realise that you can drag and drop images into Google Image search and it'll do the same as TinEye.

Is TinEye still going?
I've been using Google Image search to find HD versions of images.

Re: Flash Teases vs Regular
I agree completely, though it is all to do with how teases are written rather than them having been authored in flash. Nothing wrong with flash teases if they are written correctly. Timers often get misused. Having 30 seconds or a minute to read a ten word sentence while not undertaking any activity...

Re: GuideMe (TeaseMe v2.0): BETA Thread
Into which folder should I install the new version of VLC? I downloaded 2.1.5. and installed into guideme lib/plugins/VLC. is that ok? All I did was to do a straight install of the latest version of VLC onto my machine. I didn't install it anywhere special, only to the default place in Program File...
