With the "perfect" advice, I was able to complete another run. 8-) Although this time the tab key didn't work in the final section, so I ended up having to click manually.

This is definitely the type of game that could benefit from finding optimal routes, as certain areas are easier to speedrun ...

I didn't expect it to be timed, but this was my first playthrough. I'll give it another shot soon.
