Re: [Tutorial] Building your own DIY E-Stim Stereo Device

Building my own box based on the schematic on page 12. I found a card that has jackstick and bluetooth connections. It seemed decent. Issue is, I just realized the pots go on the input side of things rather than the output, and that's not possible unless I desolder the jackstick and somehow add the...

Re: [Tutorial] Building your own DIY E-Stim Stereo Device

Not sure if I've mentioned it before but I did a lot of experiments with pulsed signals a few years ago and found that there was no significant difference between a pulse followed by a "silent" period and a continuous pulse train (or sine wave etc). I think this is similar to what you're d...

Re: DIY Estim Build Help

My transformers have a built in mounting bracket but my resistors do not. This is the resistor I am using and as you can see has no bracket. If I can use double sided tape or adhesive velcro then I'll just use that. That's probably the simplest solution. Right now everything is just fixed directly ...

Re: [Tutorial] Building your own DIY E-Stim Stereo Device

I just found those pages on your wiki, and it completely overthrows my leading theory of why some people were perceiving carrier frequency changes as changes in signal intensity while others weren't. Well, back to the drawing board.. Appreciate the thorough testing! FWIW my theory is that this is c...

Re: DIY Estim Build Help

As I stated earlier I don't have all of the gear to connect my left and right volume. Not only that but I'm having troubles installing my card to the face plate. I did end up building a box out of wood. My finger joints aren't very tight, but then again they never are. I mostly use it for building ...

Re: DIY Estim Build Help

I'm sorry. I'm definitely the knows enough to be dangerous type of person, which is why I'm asking a lot of questions before I begin. I want to make sure I understand what I'm doing any why I'm doing it. I'm following the low cost (~$40-50) build linked below, but that build does not have a left an...

Re: [Tutorial] Building your own DIY E-Stim Stereo Device

Actually, I did not research myself, I suspected that the reason for them might have been that older amps did not pump current until they detect some minimum load, and asked about it in Joanne's discord (there are some very good electronics engineers there). On modern amps, especially with a transf...

Re: DIY Estim Build Help

A couple of questions regarding the build. Do people insulate the wire from the resistors? It's all uninsulated coming out of the resistor. I've already soldered the connection between the transformers and resistors and it feels wrong to just be exposed. I did not insulate the connectors on the hea...

Re: DIY Estim Build Help

I do plan on buying the volume potentiometers (I believe that is the correct terminology). At least according to Tronic's schematic you should buy a linear potentiometer for estim signal control. A "volume potentiometer" is bound to have audio taper, which I think is more of a logarithmic...

Re: [Tutorial] Building your own DIY E-Stim Stereo Device

What software do you use ? I measured the electrode output voltage with a multimeter while an estim file is playing. The voltage fluctuated between ~60V and 1500V. As far as I understand, voltages of estim frequencies can't be accurately measured with a multimeter. The datasheet of the multimeter s...

Re: [Tutorial] Building your own DIY E-Stim Stereo Device

I'm using a transformer from Parts Express, and I noticed it has the 70V 0.62W tap on the same side where the amplifier connects. Can you confirm if this is correct? Here's the link to the transformer: https://www.parts-express.com/70V-10W-Line-Matching-Transformer-300-040?quantity=1 Additionally, ...

You use Windows, right? Could be Qt behaving differently on Linux

Re: Restim: e-stim audio generation software

@darthjj I will implement continuous reconnect for intiface central soon. Initially I did not implement it because intiface didn't like reconnects, but that appears to be fixed. I'm a puzzled by the VLC error. The documentation states QUrl('some string') is equivalent with QUrl.fromEncoded(b'some b...

Re: [RELEASE] Fap Hero - Fantasy Play. UPDATE: Popstim Edition

Thanks - without looking I think I have the parallel resisters on my box, but i has been a while since I built it so maybe not. I'll try it again in Audacity and see if I can pin down the shifts. I had a chance to test it later, and it seems like all the lower frequency sections are played at a low...

Re: [ESTIM RELEASE] for 90 minutes, handy, estim, BDSM, highly experimental

Just tried it Estim signal is pretty good, but this would be a masterpiece with the correct "punishment" signals. I was surprised when the first prompt for punishment was an empty signal :( looks like we need the gods of estim again on this one :) good job though, nice vid Looking at the ...
