I encountered this problem too (in my tease I am working on).
But it has nothing to do with the fact, that you use the same identifier for all sounds. If the identifier differs you have the same problem.
For me it looks like that EOS sometimes is skipping the stop-metronom-command.

I had the same problem with Opera (black screen).
Deleting the browser cache should fix this. (Worked for me)
