Indeed, it's definitely the case that some more general categories can be absolutely deadly, while others are quite specific and don't have very many matching pictures.
Anyway, you always have your own newly posted pictures, so there's always at least 2.

As for some pictures being posted in spoiler tags, I've noted the same thing. I just try to make sure to expand all of those as I scroll along.

Though I never count my own pictures as you haven't really posted them by that point. Plus I always tend to do the last two full pages so that you end up with a bigger selection.

I'm convinced the intention in the rules is that you should include your own new pictures, but that doesn't really affect anyone else so play it the way you like.

You're correct. I went and scanned through the rules again. I states that you should look at the two previous pages as well as your own pictures.
