"Now, I gave you two extra chances tonight... Were you able to control yourself with Penny?"
No, he admitted. He described how he had felt during his time with Penny in detail, which I won't repeat again. This confession reinforced his feeling of helplessness and embarrassment.
"Well," I summarized, "I already saw that she got you very excited this morning, and so I wasn't surprised that she made you lose control and get a maxed-out reading on the meter tonight! And she's a uniquely qualified student in every way, so she'll be moving in with us tomorrow!"
Tom seemed happy about this, which made me a bit jealous.
