Lesson 6: Banding
Banding is the act of putting a band around the testicles. This is used to castrate animals and if a person is really, really stupid they could castrate their self. So long as you do not use an elastrator or a super strong rubber band there is little chance of harm. The best way to do banding is the use a small rubber band that is strong enough to be wrapped around the testicles 3 times. Banding causes the pubic hair to be pulled. It is a good idea to shave the pubic hair off first. Most of the pain comes from having little blood getting to or from the testicles. If the scrotum turns purple it means that it is working. If it turns dark purple or black it means that you have kept the rubber band on long enough and it should be taken off soon.
In order for a normal rubber band to cause harm it would have to be left on for several hours. An elastrator takes about 6 hours. A rubber band may even take days. After keeping it on for several minutes it really starts to hurt. The pain will eventually get to the point where it is like giving birth and if kept on long enough it will get even worse. The pain is so extreme that a person would need to be tied up or given a very strong anesthetic in order to castrate them self.
If there are red marks where the rubber band once was than you will need to wait until they have healed before putting the rubber band back on or risk infection. The red marks are where the rubber band cut into the scrotum. It will only do that if you leave the rubber band on too long.
To summarize, there is no risk of hurting the testicles so long as the rubber band is not on for hours, the band is not a super band or an elastrator, and there are no cuts on the scrotum.
