But trust also has a dark side. When someone trusts you, you can use it against them. With lies, you can use someone else’s trust to your own benefit.
And to be an effective Bad Girl, you’ll need to learn how to do that. You should be able to find books and online help on how to make a believable lie.
But even more important is learning when to lie. And the answer is: practically never. You must keep the following things in mind when lying:
- Once you start lying you need to watch your reputation more carefully. It can be a short distance between being a Bad Girl and being a pathetic girl with a crass reputation.
- Most substantial lies and even the little lies are eventually found out. So make sure that you understand the price you’ll pay for being found out before you lie.
- Some people are of a forgiving nature and some people are not. With the right person, even the worst of lies can be forgiven.
Now, if you want to be the best Bad Girl that you can be, I have an optional task for you: Lie.
To lie well takes practice. So, I want you to find a situation where you can lie without it having much chance of getting back to someone you care about. Also, it can’t be similar to the kind of lies you’ve made before. If you’ve often lied about your weight, lying to someone about your age wouldn’t count.
However, so long as you’re my trainee, you must remain my Good Girl and you must never lie to me.
