You frown at this suggestion.
"Oh, sorry, I remember how you said in our fight yesterday that you'd never ask me to take you back..."
You nod, wishing you hadn't said that, but not saying anything.
"And do you remember how I said that someday you'd beg me to take you back?"
This is galling. You say that you'll never beg her to take you back after what she did.
"What I did? What did I do? Nothing except work to get us the money to pay the rent! I didn't see you getting a job to help pay for the rent!"
You shout that you couldn't marry such a harlot anyway, so you'll never beg her to take you back, not in a million years!
