Beta Testers
I informed the team of the great news, they all packed up and headed home and I headed to beta testing lab 3. I had never been in the testing rooms before. When I arrived the waiting area a cute petite woman was already there.
"Tim! I'm Molly and I'll be your beta manager."
"Hi and uh thanks, I'm kind of excited I didn't realize we were so far along in the project."
"Oh totally, and it's all thanks to hard work of InBeta staff like you! Now if you'll follow me."
I followed her into a sterile pristine room with a single chair. She instructed me to sit. The chair angled back and was really comfy.
"Now for our first session we want to make sure you and the device work well together so we have to do it on the campus grounds, but after today I'll bring the device to your place!"
"Cool"
"Of course we'll have you come in for some demonstrations during your testing period but I'm sure that won't be an issue." She lifted an elegant looking helmet from a stand next to me.
"no of course not."
I leaned forward so she could place the headset on me, it slid over and the world around me went dark.
"Good boy."
Something in me twitched at that....
"Now it's best to experience this totally fresh, so I'm going to turn on the power here, the noise cancellation will begin. It's a bit jarring at first, but rest assured we monitor everything. You're in safe hands."
"Okay."
"Alright I'll see you in few hours"
My world went dark.
