OK, so if you haven’t actually had “the conversation,” then the first rule change this lesson is going to force the issue for you. And if you have discussed it, then your roommates are certainly going to know that you weren't joking.
Ready?
Starting now, you will not cover up until someone comes into the same room as you. When they do enter, you will leave your hands at your sides, calmly saying “hello” and exchanging whatever pleasantries are customary for at least a minute before you head to your room.
