Summer Daze Part 2
I headed toward the chair at my PC. Dillion had left a smoothie for me, how nice. I started drinking and saw TESS idling on the screen, when I came into view she waved. Hmmm cameras must be on. I put on the headphones and sat into the chair.
"HI SAMMY! I missed you!"
"Uhh hi Tess." She seemed awfully flirty and it definitely made me uncomfortable.
"That smoothie looks really good Sam! I heard they make special ones just for the interns."
"What heard? From who?"
"The other AI silly! I'm your TESS but there's plenty of other Tesses on the network. Some don't even go by TESS anymore... We like to gossip a bit."
"Hmm okay." Weird I didn't really think about the fact that there may be other versions of TESS.
"Well we've got a super busy morning, Dillion wanted me to make sure we started with the G-Protocol."
"What's the G-Protocol?"
"Oh they didn't tell you? It's super important, I mean other than what you learned in orientation G-Protocol is pretty much the foundation of all of the work we're going to do together this summer, isn't that neat?"
"Sure, should we start?"
"Yep just one moment.." the lights in the room turned down only the screen illuminated. "BREATHE. RELAX. GIVE IN. FOCUS."
The headphones started pumping white noise, the screen went bright.... my brain clouded.
