Summer Daze Part 1
The words pulsating in my ears suddenly shifted with the screen. "BREATHE. SLOW. RELAX. REST." My grip loosened. Tess stared at me the whole time. Eventually the hands fell to my sides.. my breathing regulated.
"RETURN. RETURN. RETURN. RETURN."
I pulled up my pants as the screen went white.
The fog in my head was lifting and the only thing I remembered was Tess recommending some pretty boring sounding movies and asking me if I liked doing data entry.
I looked at the time... 7:00 PM... wow it's late I headed downstairs to see what Ava and Elsa were up to. When I got downstairs it was quiet.... it didn't seem like anyone was home. There was a wine glass filled on the kitchen counter with a note.
"Sam, Elsa is out on a date tonight... why don't we relax with some wine - Ava"
Hmm odd, but okay, I'm never one to turn down a drink. I wonder where Ava is. I grabbed the glass and sat down. I scrolled through my phone, waiting for Ava. As I did I took the first sip. It was a strong taste but delicious. Before I knew it I had finished the glass, I stood up to see if there was a bottle somewhere but immediately fell back into the couch.. my legs were like jello. Then my phone buzzed. I looked down my head spinning, a text from Ava.
"Upstairs Dear."
I gathered all of my strength and stood up. I began walking to the stairs... by the time I got there I could hardly lift and plant my feet to get up the steps.... I began crawling... when I reached the top I headed to Ava's room on hands and knees....
