He stayed in the fetal position for over an hour, twitching and making weird mewling sounds every so often. I’ve tried, many times, to recreate the beauty of that kick. I’ve hit guys harder, I’ve heard kicks louder, and I’ve seen balls damaged worse. But I’ve never seen a kick that so completely shook a man to his core; that so perfectly straddled the line between pain and permanent damage; that so absolutely made someone my slave.
I won’t lie to you. This is the most brutal trial. I don’t know if you believe in God, but if you do, this would be a good time to say your prayers.
