Feeling a chill rising through your spine and excitement at the same moment makes you want to go home immediately, but your boss gave you a shitload of stuff to do. You feel like your job is the only thing in your life that doesn't suck at the moment and you don't want to ruin it so you put the letter in your bag and do the right thing.
