The second round of knocking snapped you back to your senses. Reality began to set in. If you didn't do something, the maid was about to walk in on you - naked and in partial bondage. And this was likely not some incredibly sexy blonde chick like in your fantasy. It was probably ... well, you didn't know, but you definitely weren't ready to face the reality of the situation.
You fumbled around, pulling the gag out of your mouth so you could yell "No, I'm in here!". You rushed to the door and turned the deadbolt, just to be safe.
After listening at the door for a few minutes, you heard the maid's footsteps fade down the hallway. You threw the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and went back to work.
