2: Cut off either 1 inch OR 1/4 of the extra length
3: Cut off either 2 inches OR 1/4 of the extra length
4: Cut off either 3 inches OR 1/3 of the extra length
5: Cut off 1/3 of the extra length
6: Cut off 1/2 of the extra length
