Got it? Ok, good. Feeling a little more exposed now? That's good! And it's about to get worse, because we're going to do some alterations on your skirt next. Before we start, put on your skirt. Now, tug it down as far as you can. If it fits tightly on your waist, you'll hit a point where you can't pull it down any further. If it's loose on the waist, you might be able to pull it all the way off. If that's the case, then I want you to pull it down until 1 inch of your butt crack is exposed.
Got it? Ok, now you need to stand up, and get something that you can make a little mark on your skirt. Something that easily comes off, like chalk, is best. But you can use a little pen or maker if you have to. Standing up, with your skirt pulled as far down as I told you, I want you to make a little mark on the back of your skirt right where the bottom of your ass meets the top of your leg. Make this mark on both legs, then take the skirt off.
Now get a ruler or measuring tape and measure from the BOTTOM of the skirt up to the mark you made, and write down that length. Measure each side. They should be the same, but in case they aren't, you need to write down the longest of the two. On the next page, I'll call this the EXTRA LENGTH.
