You blinked your eyes open, the light burned and your head was swimming, so you snapped them back closed. You flexed your arms - they were free! For the first time in what felt like forever, your arms were free! You forced your eyes open through the burning pain and looked around. You saw you were in a car, it felt familiar, but your brain was groggy and struggling to organize what your eyes were seeing. It was your car! You looked out the window, it was ... your brain struggled to process ... it was the parking lot of your office.
What were you doing there? Penny! Yes, Penny! She must've left you here. Holy shit, that felt like a different life now. You noticed you were wearing the same clothes you wore to work on Friday. Looking around the car, you saw your phone in the passenger seat. You picked it up - oh shit! It was Monday! And it was 9:50! You were late to work! Still a little dazed, you jumped out of the car and ran into the office.
