Next time you see them, you are going to find an excuse to make a wager. You might bet on a sporting event, or maybe you'll start people-watching and guess whether the next person to walk into the room will be a blonde or brunette.
It doesn't really matter what you're betting on, just find an excuse to celebrate the rush of gambling.
Maybe your first couple bets can be for a coffee or beer, or a small financial wager. But sooner or later, you'll be telling your friend "you know what, money's a little tight, we should be betting on something else", or perhaps you're a little more arrogant and want to try saying "I am getting bored of your cash, maybe we should bet on something more exciting".
