You will enter the store, and there will be no creeping around. You will not wait for a salesperson to approach you. You will find the first sales girl you can, and ask for help.
She will say something along the lines of “Yes sir, what can I help you with today?” You will say “I need help picking out some things and I’m not sure what size to get.” She will ask if this is for your wife or girlfriend, you know, standard questions. You must ADMIT to her that the items you need are for you. Even if you know your size, you will ask to be measured.
Say what you need to in order to calm your nerves (Halloween costume for a party, lost a bet, whatever). Lie if you must. However, you will feel so much more invigorated if you say you are going to purchase these items because you WANT TO.
