Good, you're back. Now that the safety checks are complete, we can start the fun part of this tease, well fun for me anyway.
Start by placing the handcuff keys 4 meters away from you. The next time you cuff your hands in them, you will have to move to the keys before you can unlock yourself, but don't do that yet. First we have to arrange to make this an interesting journey.
Look for anything in your computer area which could be used to cut the thin wire. Can you find any knife, scissors, fingernail clippers, or anything else sharp? If so, move it all to beyond where the handcuff keys are.
Now take one of the two thin wires, and the clothespins. Tie the end of the wire securely around one end of a clothespin. You should tie it around one half of the clothespin only, so that the wire will not interfere with the operation of the clothespin. After that, you will tie the remaining clothespins to the wire as you work down the string, at intervals I am about to give you. If you don't estimate distance well, then err on the side of leaving too much string between clothespins. As long as you don't run out of string, too much string between clothespins will never be a problem.
The distances you need are given in the diagrams below. You will see I have two sets of diagrams, one for men and one for women, to accommodate our anatomical differences. Each vertical bar shows where a clothespin should be, with the first bar on the left indicating the one you already tied on. Where you have three vertical bars together, add three clothespins as close together as you can. Otherwise, the numbers between the vertical bars tell the approximate distances worth of string you should leave between the clothespins. For each gender I have two sets of numbers, one for metric users and one for English system users. While not exact matches, they are similar. Use whichever system you are more comfortable with.
WOMEN:
(Metric - cm)
|-8-|-8-|-8-|-8-|--12--|-8-|-8-|-8-|||-8-|-8-|-8-|--50--|-8-|-8-|-8-|-12-|-8-|-8-|-8-|-8-|-------------------
(English - inches)
|-2-|-2-|-2-|-2-|--5--|-2-|-2-|-2-|||-2-|-2-|-2-|--18--|-2-|-2-|-2-|--5--|-2-|-2-|-2-|-2-|-------------------
MEN:
(Metric - cm)
|-8-|-8-|-8-|-8-|--12--|||--50--|-8-|-8-|-8-|-8-|-8-|-8-|-12-|-8-|-8-|-8-|-8-|-------------------
(English - inches)
|-2-|-2-|-2-|-2-|--5--|||--18--|-2-|-2-|-2-|-2-|-2-|-2-|--5--|-2-|-2-|-2-|-2-|-------------------
You should have at least a meter (about 3 feet) of string left after the last clothespin. If you have too much more than that, you can grab a scissors and cut the excess off, just be sure to put the scissors away past your keys before continuing to the next page. Once your first string is done, attach your remaining clothespins to the second string, with the same numbers and intervals as the first. When you are done, you should have two identical strings full of clothespins. I'm sure you can guess what they are for...
