Now, with needle and three I want you to carefully shorten the hem of the dress by one-half of the measurement you just took. If you don’t know how to sew or the hem is complicated, then you may take it to a seamstress and have them shorten it for you.
Do NOT try the dress to see how it fits until you are ready to go out with your friends.
When the night comes, then you may continue.
