Slippery Ball Syndrome

When I tie up my balls, no matter how tight I get them, one of my balls, usually my left, slips out of the noose about 80% of the time.
Many, many years ago, I used to tie them up and attached weights to the strings, until one day, I suffered a very serious groin injury that troubled me for several years.
When I finally got the nerve to tie them up again, I noticed it was difficult to keep them tied up without one of them slipping out. Once in a while, I get it just right.
Has anyone else encountered this situation or something similar. Physically, my balls are pretty large; so it just seems weird to me that they elude the noose so easily.
