Why did this happen?

It happened because the 14 in question are teases that will, at some point, direct the teasee into the chat room.
And with the latest one it spiked up issues in chat. From CoC breaches to people just plain being annoying without actually breaking the CoC. And even if that one only got removed, people would find the other 13 and do them... Causing the problems anyway.

ha! in half a year noone'll actually know they are there (newcomers) to ask.
But I don't know what to say. On the one hand, removing something because some jerks caused an issue seems like overdoing it. On the other hand teases that require visiting a chat where not everyone are up to witness the upcoming thing is just INVITING trouble to happen. My point, if people are ready to interact with each other in the chat they will do so without being told by the tease. if not, then you
a) just inviting in a horny guy who'll start being annoying right away because all he came to chat for is to be teased and find a partner for that.
b) the tease will be read at most but never played.
So the idea itself seemed shaky from the beginning. But removing a teases... oh well, we seem to have a lot of it this year.

well when there teases were written almost No one used the chat feature
and chat would be dead without people in it.
things defenately change over time
now it is annoying if people show up in lounge to ask for dares.

The teases directed people to a specific chat room that is meant for roleplaying and letting loose I thought.
Why is this an issue? Can't people just set the person to ignore if they don't want to deal?
There are three rooms, and the abundance of censorship between this site and od really make them not fun to visit the chats anymore.

I'll just say I strongly despise this kind of attitude. A chat is a chat for everyone to use. If someone bulges in and interrupts some ongoing conversation with his own matter - you should bear with it. Make private chat channels elsewhere if you are annoyed by people using the chat (surprise!)
as intended.
that's all I will say in case further debate provokes another drama in some sensible soul.

omg this is precious!
Having users in chat at all unavoidably leads to some of those (luckily a small minority) causing problems.
SCs teases recruiting more people into chat, rather successfully, obviously also increases the potential of having bad users as well.
Conclusions: Having users in chat sucks.
Sorry, but this is as sad as it is priceless!
If SC encouraged people to enter chat AND cause trouble, by all means, have them removed. But I have quite big problems imagining THAT being the case.
If on the other hand he merely encouraged people to use the chat in a legitimate and positive way, which sounds all together more likely, the teases and the recruitment they provide is NOT the problem. The few bad seeds are, and THEY need to be removed, not the recruitment itself.
And if tease-driven events is such a problem, make new rooms for it already!
The chat community here on milo (more specifically those governing it) is sadly very far off from being harmonized with the easygoing state seraph0x has established for the rest of the site.
For SC: The simple solution for this in the future, albeit less desirable, is to use an external chat service without the modding issues we have here.

*notices that the people who just posted about this are never in chat*
It is one thing to come on to chat and chat. They are not chatting, they are not all going to the specified room, most of the teases don't specify a room. People are coming in and demanding dares, or spamming the chat asking for dares after it has been made clear that no one there has any for them. They then proceed to message everyone in the room asking for dares or tasks, which is expressly against the rules of the chat.
One user got around 40 unsolicited messages in less than a day, despite not saying a single word in chat during that time.

Like someone43 said, the users that are annoyed by the chatters should just set them to ignore. In chat rooms, people can freely block whoever they want.
As for the person receiving 40 unsolicited messages and never responding, in a crowded chat room it can be easy to assume the other person didn't receive the message, due to the message scrolling up really quickly, and sending another message as a result. It really is that person's fault just as much as the sender for not conveying disinterest in the unsolicited messages (and not blocking either).
They should just create a chat room specific for chat teases.
Is SC gonna remove the references to chat and reopen the teases, or are they gone for good?

The one thing I forgot to mention is that when these people have come in asking for dares, there are people there who try to engage them in conversation, and welcome them to chat. (Cel, you are a darling).

I have chatted with SC
and a few options are being thought.
Also SC will talk to turtle about rooms as it seems the chat room may be moving to a new sever.
I also think a direct link to a specific chat room will help.
New chatters have always been a problem with PMs,
When I am in chat as Les I am often mistaken as a Lady Les instead of Lord Les,
But I found ways to stop unwarranted messages through

Allow me to beg your indulgence for one moment.

It seems to me that an unfortunate situation is developing here. While I've never been an aficionado of your teases, they are seemingly rather popular, and as such are beneficial to the site as a whole. As janmb eloquently states a few posts above mine, the teases in question direct more people into the chat. Without revealing any epithets, I am aware of at least one regular user who initially entered chat asking for a dare, and several others who were only looking for sexual gratification in a more general sense. They are now well-received members of the milovana community. These people know who they are, and may step forward if they wish.
But I digress. The primary inquiry here concerns a bigger issue, which is this: did you, SC, take down these teases voluntarily, or were you coerced into doing so by a moderator or administrator? I hope it is the former; however I suspect the latter, because of this statement:
Mistress Jenifer wrote:It happened because the 14 in question are teases that will, at some point, direct the teasee into the chat room.

On any site with any sort of governing structure, the enforcers of order have their power held in check by two things: the pathos of the userbase, and the ethos of the site itself. While the moderation team on this particular site is not chosen democratically, they are only allowed to remain in power as long as the userbase as a whole allows them to. Rebellion is a powerful tool, and repeated neglect of one's own Code of Conduct eventually leads to such a troubling end, albeit slowly.
There is a statement in the CoC which reads "Any member may be ejected from chat or banned at the discretion of a Milovana Team Member, or Site Administrator." This should not be interpreted as free reign for any moderator action, but as a "catch-all" for any oversight in the CoC itself. "Being annoying" is not currently explicitly against the CoC. If the moderation team feels it should be (but, being annoying according to whom? Subjectivity in rules breeds confusion.), then the CoC should be updated to reflect that.
However, there's something even bigger at stake here. Even on the assumption that the rules can be interpreted such that being annoying is a moddable offense, it looks like action was taken against the wrong person. The annoying persons in question would presumably be those who are in chat asking for dares, and not SC himself. While it would be permissible to
ask SC to make his teases invisible, him doing so would be an act of kindness on his part, and far from required. Telling him to, on the other hand, would not be permissible under any interpretation of the rules. As he seems rather chagrin about this situation, I do suspect that he was not merely asked - but I sincerely hope this is not the case.
The ideal solution for this is simple, and has already been mentioned by others on this thread. Update the teases in question to direct the user only to a specific room, tell them not to misbehave, and perhaps put the CoC at the beginning of the tease. The only people who don't lose out by making these teases invisible are those who want to strongarm the community into being exactly what they want, rather than working with it.
You're welcome.

I would simply like to weigh in a little on this...
The fact that they increased an issue with those not following the rules. If you talk to any female who spends much time in chat (or for that matter anyone with a name that gets assumed to be female) they have to deal with lots of constant unwanted PMs. This problem grew exponentially at the release of this most recent tease.
I'm not going to disagree with the points many have made. I will point out, there's a difference between coming in and saying hello, and coming in and demanding a task/dare, which frequently ends in either the person acting like you're now their dominant and harassing you for days, or them leaving without so much as a thank you. There are upstanding members who came in asking for dares, but most of them stuck around and said hello and were friendly, they didn't come in demanding a dare then leave, which many from these chat teases did (nor did they throw hissy fits when they didn't get a dare right away, as has been common lately).
I think there's possibilities for chat teases to work, I also think that how they've been instantiated currently, has shown not to work / anger a majority of the users who are often in chat. I've seen plenty of names in this thread who I know are active in the forums, but I rarely see in chat (either ever or anymore). There's nothing wrong with weighing in on your opinion, but if you aren't active in chat, it's hard to take your view as well balanced.
